  1. Probably should have put the model in case the spec has changed! 2004 UK GT Coupe
  2. Hi, my driver side electric seat switch is faulty, definitely not the motor so I need a new one please. Thank you.
  3. Cheers buddy, much appreciated!
  4. Hey Zugara, appreciate the reply, when the seat is already fully back it doesn't really make any noise but the interior light does dim which suggests the motor works and something is wedged in front of the switch. Hey Mike, I'm definitely at the full extent. It's not that I'm looking to take it further back, I just want to resolve the issue of not being able to bring the seat forward. Anyone below 6ft would prob have difficulty reaching the pedals and I hate having gadgets that don't work!
  5. Hi all, I've tried to find the answer on here and from the manuals but can't seem to locate it so apologies if this has been covered a million times! My 04 GT driver side seat switch feels almost like something is stopping it from going forward. Being a tad on the tall side, my seat is already as far back as it will go so when I pull the switch back, obviously it's not gonna go anywhere but the feel is right if that makes sense! All of the threads on here suggest seat removal and tinker but with the seat pushed as far back as possible I can't get to the rear screws Is there an overide of some sort? Ps Back of the seat moves forwards/backwards with no problems.
  6. Maybe I should point out that I am not good with these things and maybe an all singing all dancing unit was a bit too much of a challenge for me to take on!! I've connected the blocks as per the guides. Checked again this morning and I can see a blue & white cable is part of the block so unless you are referring to a seperate cable then I would say yes it appears connected to me. Think I need to take it to someone who actually understands the wiring but the only audio place I'm aware of in Birmingham is Car Audio Direct who 1) got completely wrong what I needed and 2) provided me with the worst customer service I've ever experienced! Is anyone on here local or between Brum & Stoke on Trent and fancies helping me for several beers????
  7. The 29-674-C connector that I got from sextons has 2 cables, one with red & white plugs & the other with black & gold plugs. The HU has a lead with 2 plugs for front, 2 for rear & 2 for sub (all red & white) I've tried various combinations & no joy.
  8. Hi all, I've tried to fit a Kenwood DNX7240BT today and I've followed all the guides that are posted on here, I purchased the neccesary items i.e 29-674, 29-005 and whilst I've got power I have no sound I have the Birdview factory fitted sat nav and therefore the wiring is a bit chaotic back there but all the examples I have used from here are zeds without satnav so I'm wondering if I should be doing something differently? Do I need an extra part? Do I have to split wires? Help!!!!
  9. Hey welcome to the forum. Not sure if it helps but I picked up my first zed 1 month ago... clean car, 04 GT Pack, 50k mileage £8.5k... it's awesome!!!
  10. Hi Brumjohn, yeah I have to agree that you don't see many which was one reason for the change but on saying that, the day after buying my zed, one came down my road in the same colour which was annoying! I've got nothing bad say about the TT... a good car and it was fantastic in the snow. Just got bored after 3 years and decided I needed more power! My earlier reference to the tunnel test was through Queensway so that's made me laugh matey
  11. Well said! The tunnel test has already been done
  12. Cheers Charlotte but if not i'll just have to quickly learn how to tame that rear end Nice one Scotty. I'm not used to these forums but it's come in pretty useful so far!
  13. Cheers all for the welcome messages. I'm from Stoke on Trent so nice to see Maccamans Port Vale Badge on here, but recently moved to Edgbaston, Brum! Parted with an Audi TT last weekend and treated myself to an 04 350z GT (pics to be added soon!). Looking forward to the weekend to get some serious mileage in
  14. Hi guys, another newbie to the forum following my recent 04 350z I've had a nosey at the site recently and it's already come in handy on a couple of things so a big thank you to everyone for such helpful posts. Loving the V6 engine... fantastic noise!! Thinking of changing the standard stereo to a double din touch screen to connect my iPhone so I'll be having a good look to see what people recommend. Only thing I'm not impressed with so far is the sat nav system really slow! but maybe the controller just needs a new battery! Looking forward to chatting to you all! Bradders
