  1. Hi, If you cant get a puncture repair done, then you need to replace both tyres. You shouldn't mix and match tyres on the same axle. I would go aftermarket and check out www.camskill.co.uk and get a pair delivered, and then take them to a garage for fitting.
  2. Here you go. Just watch out for postage charges veilside spats

Shouldn't think it'd be too hard - the ballast for the hid lights is still present which is the main thing, although iirc they filed down the bulb connector in my car to fit the halogen bulb housing in... but i could be wrong. I would have returned mine to hid, but the bulbs are £45 each so i didnt fancy risking £90 for it not to work!! Nixy, you'll know if they are hid - i believe they flicker very slightly as they are turned on, and they have more of a blueish tint to them - not even a hint of yellow.
  4. Yeh i want these too, though not in Carbon. If you look on eBay.com they have loads on there for about $175... tmjak has them on here...

Chances are it wont have HID. UK law requires cars with HID headlight to have headlamp washers fitted - which the JDM cars dont. So when they get imported, the import garage usually modifies the HID headlight to use normal halogen bulbs instead - thus allowing it to pass the SVA (import test). After the test the owner can probably undo the changes... but i've never got round to it on mine!
  6. http://www.kontraband.com/videos/12100/ ... reme/#show This made me laugh!
  7. depends on your age and who you're insured with though. Direct line dont let you have any modifications if you're under 25... i phoned up once trying o imsure my black BMW, and mentioned it had tinted windows - then they said they couldnt insure me. So i hung up and phoned back a few hours later - and neglected to mention anything else...
  8. Im having the worst day ever at work - so much on!! So i cant wait for tonight so i can just relax with my car!! ... and today someone said to me "we need this finishing today - even if it takes all night." ..not today my friend!!
  9. Who me? No Tim, he still has bright orange stickers on the outside of his rims that indicate which direction they should rotate Funnily enough they dont work when I'm in reverse gear ???? You've only kept them on cos they match your car havent you?? I've just phoned a company called RnR Auto Design and they're finding out fitment options for me - has anyone ever heard of them? I found them online... Anyway, they sell 19" Dare Hiro wheels - which are the same design as the Axis Hiro's - I take it Dare is the uk name for Axis wheels?? RnR Auto Design dare uk

    HDR Tests

Mate, that looks brilliant. Im gonna have to look up what this HDR stuff is - cos i want a picture like that!
  11. So.... a set of spacers are what, about £200? So if i get the eBay wheels and spacers i'll still be within my budget. Im wary of spacers though - could it possibly make the clicking rear axles problem worse? I mean extra pressure on the hubs cant be good?
  12. Yes mate - 100% what i want. Are they +35 offset?
  13. Hey All, Im going to be buying wheels within the next 6 weeks and have been trawling the net for weeks trying to find the right ones. My requirements are that they must be black, with a lip of some sort. 19", and i'm leaning towards 5-spoke, but i quite like the double 6-spoke look too. My budget isn't too spectacular - i've only got about £1200 max to get them on my car - so thats including tyres and delivery etc etc. Now, im going to be keeping my 17" JDM's as track/winter wheels, so im not too worried about the quality here - this is all style over substance!! Most of the wheels im finding that meet my requirements (price/looks) have an offset of +35... Firstly, will this fit, and secondly, will it look sh!te? Would spacers to push the wheels out be necessary to pull off that look? Does anyone have pics of wheels with a +35 offset? See these links for the type of wheels i want, and can anyone give me a reason not to buy these - they're the style i want. ebay1 ebay2
  14. So that was you who cancelled the auction for the other mats today!! I was high bidder on them with a £23.50 bid!
  15. That's incredible. The speed being carried through those corners is scary.

    rear brakes

Nope - i had my none-brembo rears replaced and there was no grinding at all. Who was it on here recently that put one of their pads in the wrong way round?? I'd find out which side it is, and pop you wheel off to see if you can see anything wrong.
  17. I like them too - and its great to see someone not going for Nismo's!
  18. I saw a stratos yesterday in Macc. And the mkII escort is also one of my favourite cars... i think i'd have really enjoyed it there!!!!
  19. I'll give u £30 for the spats if you wanna split it...?
  20. The single black thing at the top of the rear window - this sounds like your rear windscreen washer! YOu can see it in your rear view when you press the squirt button. As for the front - i'd hazzard a guess that its an aftermarket tv antenna for japanese tv? You see them on ebay for about 30quid i think... doubt it'll be much use over here... ...but thats all just a guess...
  21. Quick question on this - i've never manually performed an HPI check myself, but when i buy a car i ask the dealer about it and they always hand me their HPI check that they did when they bought it... Is this suitable do you think or should i be doing my own too?
