Got to agree with Sarnie on the Noise.... Couldnt live with the one I had for a few months, used to get on my thrupneys when it "screamed"! But even if they put a v6 in it would it the look and the sound match? Its like a V8 conversion in a 350z, a 350z dosnt look like it should have a v8 rumble!! (Off topic, but I saw and heard an audi s5 v8... I heard the v8 first and looked around for something interesting nice! took me a few moments to associate that it was the s5!!) I liked the performance but I didnt like the fact it was a saloon that was turned into a performance car. Cab was nice but still felt like there was too much room in it! I think if I was looking for 4 seats and a boot I would be looking at the Audi's now or trying to find something a little alternative!

Right!! Am guessing that due to Jerry organising a meet the day after there was one set (Yep the BBQ was the 11th and then Jerrys was on the 12th ) and the BBQ is now on the sunday.... Guessing that getting people to come to meets on 2 days would be an issue anyway... So now we have a meet in redhill at 1pm and one at bluewater at 5pm so those that said yes, please can you decide ASAP so I can sort out food if your coming to mine or going to bluewater to sit in a carpark! I just use Meguiar's wheel cleaner on mine and they come up a treat" He has and sells the Finchi range, but hes just a bit busy at the mo so I messaged him!

chemical guys wheel guard for me (well it was!!) Only thing I can recommend with the polished rims is wash them as often as possible and dont let them sit with road crap on them! Also invest in a leafblower to get rid of the water from the nooks and crannies! Wax will help but on most 2 peice wheels your never gonna get all the wax in there so making sure they are as dry and clean as possible will help! And after washing dousing with as much water as possible from a hose pipe will help to get rid of any left over soap....

I dont have the maps mate, havnt bought them yet! Just do them seperate, get the folder for the custom POI's off http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/ put them in the right folder, and then put the card in, boot up. If that dosnt work, go into the satnav menu and then go to custom POI's and then upload from there... You not coming Sunday or you just being impatient

cant remember! havnt done it for ages.... Have you made sure the folder on the sd card is called the right thing for the kenwood to find it? Seem to just remembber going into the custom locations and then it finding the sd card and importing them! As I say I would have too see it to remember and I havnt got my car at the moment to have a look at!

Doc, I got to agree with what you have said and well done for voicing your opinon and sticking up for your mate (who obviously knows lots more about modding JDM cars that those that jumped at him realised!! ) If someone puts something 2nd hand then its a case of buyer beware.... No matter how people try and mollycoddle! Just cause someone who is vociferous about they think things look gash dosnt mean that everyone has to follow that... Its your car, mod it how you want... i.e. Dont go stick spacers on a car just " too please others" Good on you for trying something when your told it dosnt work, if everyone followed the "rules" we would all be driving 350's with Nismo kits, LMGT4's and stubby ariels !!! And things would be very boring! Love the fact that people are trying new things with the Zed by going rat / dub style or at least trying something different! Peeps post up on here asking for pics of items fitted on a car, you can take the wheel and fit it on a Zed, just cause there is a pic dosnt mean that its going to fit or work in real life! Whats next, can I have a video of the car in motion so I can see the wheels in motion and that they do fit to the acceptable limits.... Sometimes you have to go for it and make it work if it dosnt or deal with your mistakes! The fact that my rear tyres were down to the cord on my car didnt mean that my volks were the wrong size / fitment, it just meant I had to sort my camber out and buy some other parts. I think the fact that someone was banned (if he has been reinstated then not sure after that if he would want to come back here and participate anyway!) just cause he came back at 2 or 3 people that really wernt interested in buying the rims anyway was a bit harsh... They were his parts and he should have been able to defend them (its strange that it happens in one thread but not in another when a clean up is requested!!) But it just goes back to the discussions in the past that if you have something for sale and dont want to deal with the neg comments and defend yourself (without fear of getting banned) then ask for the thread to be locked.... Cleanups are fine as long as the content is moved for all to see, after all its an open forum! Oh and too me, fresh import is "its just come off the ship and is used!"

Hi All, At the moment and due to the weather forcast for the weekend dosnt look good and part of my garden is already waterlogged so can I suggest that we do it on Sunday? Not the saturday night camping... Can those that still want to come just start making a list below? I dont think there was enough people to do a hog roast but if I can get an idea of numbers then I can get to the butchers on Saturday. I will sort the Meat out so if you add your name and how many are coming (I guess as its a 350z owners club then I am guessing it will be a +1 !!) then just put up what you will bring, ie salads, desert etc then we should be sorted! Exactly !!! And on the footwell lights yes I would have them tapped into the dome / door wires so they only come on when the doors are open....

Yep, supposed to be very easy! I belive that the cable you need to tap into that leads to the dome is on the passanger side! Whilst your at it you could splice in for some footwell lights and also some nice puddle lights under the mirrors for guiding you to the car! If you do, please do a detailed how to so I can follow it!!

Bloody hell you finally listened!!

JDM's almost always get better results than UK cars unfortunatly... Are your numbers ATW or are they translated to the fly number? At the moment ( ) at the wheels I went from 215 to 238 torques and hp went from 239 to 245 and thats with a couple of mods and now a piggyback.... I would suggest looking at a plenum spacer for more torque... Very strange about it taking sometime to get going on the dyno not heard that one before...

Its cause I is a Gangsta! Actually it comes from a South Park episode with Chefs parents involved! There was another 3FIDDYZ on the other 350 forum and he changed his name to Mark just before I joined! It did get confusing! All I know is that if I ever sell the zed then I may need to change my name, but it would take me hours to go round all the forums!

Reassuringly Expensive

Nice replys from all guys. RS, not wishing to pull things apart, just wishing to discuss as this whole thing with the Nissan ECU is still a bit of a dark art from the way it works and why the settings are like they are, obviously to control the emmissions to get it into a lower bracket to increase car sales! There was lots of talk before you guys came on these boards and am sure there will be more to come until there is a solution that comes along that is both proven and also cost effective! I think also what people forget about is its about their initial numbers... I havnt seen many cars that have come in at 276bhp on the dynos and there is a huge varience in numbers.. Unfortunatly not many of us have the opertunity to change CAI's, zorsts, manifolds etc etc and mix and match these items to see what gives the best results. Of course as there is a difference between lots of the cars then it stands to reason that an AEM CAI would make more difference on one car than it does on another! The difference between the numbers between the UK and JDM cars go a way to proving this and it would be interesting to know the numbers and the variables that are set between them. As for giving out the information, ie RS getting Ian's car in with the Nismo ECU and then publishing the differences between that and stock, to us may be slim as you are tuners and the information gleened is where you earn your money. That wasnt a pop, it was just reality! Trade secrets and all! Keep up the good work guys, looks like your making headway and hope you can break that 300 (ATW of course!!!!) barrier on a UK car soon
