  4. Halfords surface cleaner. I loostened the 1 of the 6 centre bolts at a time cleaning around them with a brush. Disconnected the air intake and all the rest of the lines etc... Plenty of masking tape and news paper to avoid overspray. Didn`t require any primer so it was quik to do. My plenum is sat in my garage at the moment so I think this may be a project for next week it would be rude not to ooh top gear is on ------------>
  5. nice work, i like subtle mods, well mods that should have been oem
  6. I've got the same engine cover, funkystyling iirc might do my plenum now
  7. used the same stuff before, gives a matt grey/black finish
  8. nice work did you spray or paint the plenum ? did you use high temp engine paint ? lookin good

got em, wouldnt be without em not as easy to spot as they used to be, i'm sure the cars you've seen have had them
  14. Have to agree on this idea Me too, quick get it sorted i am Mr July Your the mod, you sort it Job for Admin i think nice delegation
  15. Ok this is gonna be a noob question - whats IRC. I come across the amuse system and its looks top notch - also at £1500 del. I did the like Mines also. Decision Decision! lol Why are you changing your current system? IIRC - IF I RECALL CORRECTLY
  16. on bikes it will only get a "legal" stamp on it if it is below the legal db level so they produce them with bungs to achieve this, then its up to the owner if he fits them between mot's i assumed cars were the same, plus these exhausts are probably not made originally for the uk market and may be made to adhere to country of origin's laws
  17. +1 If this is the case why would my bike fail the mot without the baffle fitted ?
  18. daily or weekly rotation is good as people log in to see if its theirs on show
  19. you could possibly ask another member off here (who lives close to the seller) to do the deal and then pick them up off them saves you sending money
  20. if its standard fit the ins co will know this, you only need a certificate for an aftermarket install you should not have to prove an oem install
  21. Why though? The pipes look thinner than stock - but they may not be. On what basis would you shovel your hard-earned into this pile of po* this looks exactly the same as a the K1 that esr sell but to answer your question - because its louder, that is the main reason anyone changes from the stock exhaust
  22. normally for both, the mot and reduce the noise level, they were originally used on bikes so that the same exhaust could be used for road and track
  23. they are the cars he has had, he has none of the above now top man getting off your ar$e and networking, i can only imagine what most are doing with their time off
