to an axtent that is true although they are slightly shielded but i've never heard of any say they noticed a power loss from these and they are by far the most common used iirc the typhoon is better shielded

makes a nice deep growl when you hoof it it wont increase power as the ecu cancels most mods out the only really gains are from a plenum spacer, exhausts only make a better sound - no gains

Filters are easy, takes about 25-30 mins +1 popcharger is a doddle, even comes with instructions and you only need a few tools
