there has never been any long term feedback on this but no one has suffered any problems apart from the noise

backwards or forwards and sometime can happen when changing gear, basically when you load the rear axle with drive

afaik you are correct, i prefer the older type that go into the dash

+1 i did jack the car up a little but didnt remove the wheels, jacking up gives extra clearance you lose a bit of knuckle skin though

mine had this on the front tyres, had the tracking done and all has been ok since

I did mine by going through the inner wheel arch

good old BL i had a gearbox out in the first 6 months cracked the bell housing by accelerating too hard
