More info needed engine mounts exhaust knocking droplinks knackered or dry track rod ends you forgot to open the passenger door and your missus is knocking to get in worn suspension bushes etc etc deep knock ? fast or slow ? does it stop if you ease off the accelerator ?

arnold clark are crap, i have had dealings with them it sounds as though gearbox should be a warranty issue, it is not fit for purpose and it can hardly be wear and tear with 10k on the clock ! unless you had driven it without using the clutch hopefully others will chip in soon and offer some advise on the best approach when dealing with a warranty claim 2nd and 3rd sychro's have been an issue on some cars

this is common, as the fixings are flimsy at best, normally they can get pushed up into the strut bar and the screw just turns and rattles

have you checked the fluid when the clutch does this ? not after ? when it does it, does it try to creep forward if you are in gear with the clutch down and rev the car (no brakes) ? this would suggest sticking plates on the clutch
