  1. Just got home! Huge thanks to Colin, June and Mike for organising a brilliant weekend. Nice to meet everyone and some great driving (apart from the hairpin attempts). I now need two new rear tyres and a long sleep. One of the best highlights for me was the permanent grin on Sam's young face driving his mom's car. Lucky so and so! Here's to the next
  2. http://meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G13224 Already got a bottle and the microfibres packed ready to go
  3. Just scraped the flies off the front and given him a quick polish. Really looking forward to this (Bet it's filfthy by the time I get there tomorrow mind )
  4. Nice and comprehensive Colin Beautifully organised if I may say so!
  5. As long as they use genuine Nissan parts it will not invalidate your warranty.
  6. Doesn't the bluetooth unit simply clip into the base instead of the phone cradle? Take the phone and holder out and then insert bluetooth unit.....
  7. Not too far from me either, so I may well pop over if I can get out of the gardening for a day! 1. Greekman 2. Nixy 3. Markie 4. Lincolnbaggie
  8. Why is your dash still apart? Washing mine later as well (may do the car at the same time ) What time you planning on getting there tomorrow James?
  9. If its done right it should be far far more durable than Nissan plastic finish!! To be honest, if it's done badly it will still be more durable than the Nissan plastic finish Looks great, by the way - very impressed
  10. Did similar a couple of years ago and the fuel bill was over £800 (I did do 4400 miles in three weeks mind). Forget the bills, though, and enjoy the drive and views - most memorable holiday I've ever had
  11. Also have the 3G - good phone and good internet and e-mail ability, but the battery life is shockingly bad. Charge mine daily
  12. Yeah, my first ever repost!!!!!!!!!!!! Do I get a trophy or something now
  13. Seems to sum up the majority of my conversations with potential clients beautifully! So real, it's almost painful to watch.
  14. To say I'm jealous would be an understatement! Have a great time fella
  15. Thinking of one of these - what do you think? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-COUPE ... 286.c0.m14
  16. You don't say what services the first two were. If they were P1 and then P2, it's not that far off schedule (yes, mileage is a little high for the first two, but it is only just coming on three years old). I'd just go with the P1 for now and then get the P3 (or another P2 as they are the same just cheaper) at around 38,000 miles which will put you more or less back on track.

  18. As there is no difference at all between a P2 and a P3 (apart from the cost) nothing will have been missed, so no need to worry. You may want to check if the plugs have been changed as they should be done by 54,000 miles and check if/when the last brake fluid and coolant changes were done as these are normally separate service items and not done automatically at the right time. Just get another P2 done at 51,000 miles and do the plugs, brake fluid and coolant if this hasn't been done yet/in the last two years.
  19. Sounds about the same temps I have seen with my popcharger (near enough the same as the Nismo in this case). On the road the temps drop massively. My inlet temps on the way to the dyno on the day I had mine done were about 17C but when on the dyno rocketed to more than 30C. When back on the road they dropped straight away to ~17C again. Should really break out the airbox and do a run with that and see what difference it makes. The popcharger does suffer from heatsoak when stationary, but when moving its about the same as the std airbox from what I've seen Sitting in almost stationary traffic on the M25 last weekend for an hour saw my inlet temp up to over 80°C! Once moving though it dropped straight back down to 20°C. That's with a Pop charger, so yes, when not moving the temps rocket.
  20. Service book says that fuel filter is maintenance free on CR/QR/QG engines, else replace every 36,000 miles.
  21. I'm sure he'll be fine - I managed to do mine myself with no major problems, so a "proper" machanic should have no problems. Just remind him that there are two bleed nipples on each caliper.
