yeh was a bit of a pain but ive learnt the hardway to apply thin layers, first attempt half a year ago resulted in about 40 mins of buffing, this took me about 20 mins max including going back over every panel with a second towel

hi guys, today ive been working on a grey bmw 320 cd. the owner wanted a deep clean rather than a paint correction which is fair enough. inside and out but didnt want his carpets hoovered?? (i thought this was peculiar) but he was paying me so i didnt ask any questions. the car was dropped off in this state. not too bad with a few heavily soiled areas car was then soaked with VP citrus degreaser including sills, petrol cap, wheels arches. door sills and petrol cap were agitated with horse hair brushes. wheels were then sprayed with bilberry (1:3) solution as the wheels had a fair amount of brakes dust on them. both left to dwell for 5-10 mins and rinsed off. next up was VP snow foam left to dwell for 5-10 mins and then rinsed off which resulted in this car was then washed with 2bm with dodo supernatural shampoo and lambs wool mit, which left the car looking like this car all dried off,wheels then sealed with rimwax and megs endurance applied. time to feel the paint, i actually laughed when i did this, closest thing ive felt to sand paper on paint work i believe. decided to go with dodo purposeful purple and megs nxt qd for lube. started with this after the bonnet,which again was the worst ive seen on a claybar, every panel was about the same. claying took me an hour and a half roughly which is twice the amount it usually takes.. the car snow foamed and re washed with 2bm after claying. the exterior was polished with dodo lime prime by hand and then dodo supernatural applied. the wax was left to cure for an hour whilst i cleaned his interior with poorboys natural look and gliptone on the seats. hood was cleaned with autoglym roof cleaner. the results as below and finally a bonnet shot which is always my favourite total time= 5-6 hours thanks for looking again guys -ho

dont shoot me for this but its ripspeed mesh....... i couldnt be bothered to get any mesh so i just said to the guys at the paint shop put whatever youve got in store... i saw the box of ripspeed mesh.. i didnt think the silver mesh would go and he was adamant that if he painted the mesh the paint would flake!! it does suit it in real life.5 friends have agreed if i get that fed up with it im sure hammerite would stay on and ill get busy painting it. tbh i know canards arent everyones cup of tea, im still undecided on them but i like it atm. very different to have canards so im gonna stick to my guns the exhaust is awesome, no other way to put it. it could do with be about 5-10 dbs louder but im still bedding it in so we'll see how it is after 1000 miles, only done about 400 so far. the throttle response is SOOOO much sharper, even more so than with the amuse on and its theres a noticable difference uptop!! i know people are gonna say its all in my head, it really isn't ive gone through 6 exhausts now and i know how each and everyone has affected the throttle etc. ill try and get some vids up soon cheers for the response guys -ho

hi guys n girls ive recently had some work done to my car and kept shhh about it.. but here are some pics.. ive had a new front end and a new custom t.d zausty made up and im over the moon with both.. lemme know what you guys think good or bad or what can be changed to make it look a lil better -ho ps the cars just been washed zausty the exhaust is pretty much a carbon copy of the amuse true dual. sent the guys a pic down at A.A.S and they've wored absolute miracles with it.. sorry the pics aint the best but i kinda forgot to take pics whilst it was on the ramps.. haha sorry.

if you do a lil background reading guys.. bc have been producing coilovers for megan racing and apexi, so to say they havent done any rnd is a bit un true. i think its a case of quality product without the huge brand. given another few years the price of these could probably go up!! also the fact they have been tuv stamped should put your mind at ease?? ive personally only heard good things about bc and they do offer a higher end coilover ER series at £1175... so if your want the price tag then go for them instead ps: sorry i dont mean this to sound harsh to anyone. -ho

unlucky dude.. have u tried voicing this opinion on your mates. im fortunate enough to have about 10 mates who love cars through and through so i can be on a drive with one group and another whenever i feel like. i think this monday coming were heading up to the kirkstone pass in the lakes.. bout 160 mile round trip just for a blast!!! u should kick there arse in to gears or steal there keys???? -ho

tbh the door is the least of my worries.. just getting it on the road will be the biggest step atm.. i gotta friend in the vehicle spraying trade aswell so its all good

well the plans ive got running in my head thus far is strip it: door cards,dash,ac unit, sound proofing, rear seats. coilovers brakes arbs but i might not strip it so thouroughly. ie might keep dash n back seats. hahah but i need it to go through an mot before all the this can take place. might even drop it off for a service at honda

well plan is... go down, try n get it to tick over via jump leads or maybe even new battery.. then get sum1 to tow it back to my house (maybe on a low loader or summin) well its literally been untouched for 4 years so it'll have no service intervals as such but prior to that he was a car nut so i can imagine it being kept fairly well. only other issue is sum1 tried to break in and has keyed the hell out of the drivers door. hrmmm...

hi guys.... ive been offered a car for free today. its a R reg 2.2 vtec prelude. the car has never been crashed etc, one of my friends emigrated ages ago and its been sat on another mates drive for roughly 4-5 years. i was thinking this could be an intresting project maybe to strip out, add a few ponies to it. sorta a road going touring car anywhoo the car hasnt moved for 4-5 years.. obviously the battery will be dead and brakes completely seized on, petrol gone off etc.. is there anything i should think about before maybe trying to start it up? ie will it explode in a shower of vtec bolts etc??? cheers in advance guys -ho

hahahah covering scotland and newcastle i actually hate soft jap paint now... really do. i personally find it much easier to correct harder vag paint/ bmw paint. stan the man, its not me. thats lil si, one of my best mates (munchkin) hes about 5ft 3 hahhaha i wanna do the headlights but the dirt appears to be inside the lens cover and me and lil si couldnt get into them at all.. well im about to purchase a tub of zymol concours/ swissvax best of show so we'll see how that goes i suppose
