hiya guys n girls. well yesterday was a good day in the grand scheme of things.i mean a really good day i suppose. first of all it started with me dropping my new bumper off to get painted. got quoted a REALLY good price (its sorta a friend/customer) so i was tres happy only needs my car for one day aswell so it doesnt affect my life too much second thing.. im getting a custom exhaust made up by a company called A.A.S. a very respected company in the north east and beyond and usually has a 7 week waiting list. i popped down yesterday and they had a cancellation and im now booked in to get a very special custom exhaust made up in less than 2 weeks jack pot!!!! (pictures to come when it gets done but its gonna look special) they also quoted me a price via e-mail a few days ago and theyve knocked 150 quid off for me for booking 3 cars in at one time. :D right most important thing that happend yesterday and thing im not sure about at all. well heres the story in anyways some of you may know ive been doing detailing as a hobby for people. ive machined 6 cars now very successfully and all the owners have been happy happy. obviously still a novice in every respect compared to the likes of eclipse,clenz and envy and the rest off the fabulous detailing companies on here. well yesterday my friend was down at F1 lotus in newcastle. sumhow the topic of me machine polishing came up, the owner of f1 basically said if i leave them business cards or leaflets etc they will hand them out to customers how ask for a full detail as they only really offer valets. now i stress im a novice detailer and im not a company but what should i do?!?! this is a really huge opportunity that i dont want to miss out on but im really not qualified as they sell everything from ferraris to bentleys etc!!! i never thought i would say this but i feel incompetent. what should i do guys!?!??!?! -ho

hiya guys... anyone know where i can get black mesh preferably diamond/honeycomb cut for grills/front bumpers etc??? needing roughly about 1.5m X 1.5m ??? or has anyone got any lying around? thanks for the help guys -ho

dont forget dixcel brakes!!! their rotors and pads are excellent from what ive read and at a very very decent price aswell!!! -ho

plz dont do it... people will physically hate u!!! the k1 is loud enough without decats!!!!! ho - obviously just my opinion of course but your trim will rattle loose with all the resonating i suspect no matter how much sound deadening u put in. also it will drone and drone for britain but if thats your tipple fair play to u...

dude he was seriously about 6 ft 4.. and closing in on about 19-20 stone im 5 ft 10 and 13.5 so im in good shape... this guys was like a baldy hulk without the green!!!!

hahaha what a coincedence but i saw a black z today with the gtr badge... im guessing its one of the ones uve seen ross mac but to put it bluntely. i wont be saying anything to him about it.. the guy was HUGE!!!!!! i mean im in good ship but this guy was MASSIVE!!! yeh so i chickened out of saying anything to him.. hahahha -ho

hey guys... well i machined my first car on saturday ... got about 95% of the swirls and about 8 scratches out which im quite pleased with.. now the question is... how to wash the polishing pad.. hahahah never thought about this actually so any pointers would be velly useful because im doing another car tommorow cheers -ho

hi... ex tubby owner here...owned a lovely black saphire 55 reg, only had it a year and i long to own one again... i miss it everytime i go for a blast tbh.. photo from the first day i had it. sorry not as cool as your pics..i never managed to make any meets as i use to work 60 hours a week... but i use to post on vx220.org a fair bit.. think my username was the same or lilsheep turbo or summin... -ho

i like both... ALOT!!!! ex vx220 tubby and astra owner here.. my astra had a fair few mods and in a straight would leave my Z for dead.. i mean propa leave it for dead!! it was dyno'd at 308 bhp at TMS..had eibach coilovers and ap racing front brake uprade so it was feisty!!!! (also the most agressive remap available from tms aswell ) corsa vxr's have the same potential.. irc a simple remap takes it up to near 230 bhp or summin (or 220) and i think it would be hilarious to drive with that bhp. -ho

cheers buddy ill keep that in mind... im just waiting for dodo to release some, no doubt there products will be top notch (if it ever happends) just my confusion with EGP and the rest of the sealants is that, its a sealant, surely that should seal everything in (obviously not) but what the hay. u live n learn.. so far i got 5 people wanting a detail and 3 more wanting machining (maybe ross mac aswell )so, things are good -ho

im really against tyre shine sorry...unless the OP want it.. i refuse to use it.. ive got some just im always worried it'll drop into the treads and also ive noticed no matter which tyre shine/gel ive used.. it ends up flicking itself all over my arches no matter how long ive left it to cure!!! -ho 3fiddy: i was always unsure but either envy/eclipse told me recently that wax always goes on top as it need to breathe to work its best... so its what i will be doing from now!! -ho

ermm ill let u know in due time... im not happy to work on anyone else's Z before ive done my own... get a feel for the paint etc.... but ill let u know bud ill happily give it a propa wash and clay etc for now if u want tho
