  1. you lend me the extra cash interest free over a zillion years and it's a deal!
  2. Nope definitely not - don't try and persuade me it might work!
  3. believe it or not - no. I don't think i've ever test driven a car unless it's the one I'm actually buying. I can't imagine I'll hate it - if anyone wants to bring their car over for me to have a go I won't say no!
  4. My issue was never really that much about the car losing value (although it is a fair point) but more about bad weather driving.
  5. That's a bummer cos it probably won't be off the car too long before it goes on another one so am I right in thinking I'll have to pay a fee to put a 53 plate back on the CTR, a fee to retain my private number and a fee to transfer it onto my new car when I get it!!
  6. If I could make my 15k stretch any further I would but unfortunately I had to draw the line and stick to it - lovely car though, can't believe it hasn't gone.

    Moon

was great from York too - had an orangey glow.
  8. Does anyone know the procedure for transferring a cherished number? I need to take it off my car before I sell it but won't have another car to put it onto straight away so need to retain it somehow.
  9. quite like Peroni but any lager as long as its ICE cold (but not stella). As long as I can still have gin and tonic
  10. watch out for these lot - they're all photobucket hackers!

    Moon

There's a lovely clear full moon out tonight so it might be worth watching!
  12. shows how little you know - I would have preferred an A Team Van! You got the black eye right though!
  13. Just been to my local York Halfrauds and they've got all autoglym on offer at buy 3 for the price of 2. Not sure if it's a national offer but worth checking out!
  14. Ive tried claying mine but I just can't seem to notice the difference - I'm probably doing it wrong - or maybe my cars just too clean.......
  15. I always mist the car with some quick detailer before drying - it helps disperse the water.
  16. Nice to hear they're not all wrapped up in cotton wool! I guess if you take it steady enough and ignore the people on your tail you should be ok.
  17. as the others have mentioned - a lot of things on the JDM seem to come as options. Someone on here only the other day mentioned that they bought a 'base' model and it still had brembos and leather, some have had steering wheel controls and some not so I guess it's just a case of looking at each individual car. However, one thing for definite - on an S you get 18 inch wheels and brembos and on a T you get leather and Bose - the ST combines the two. I also hate those wheels they seem to all have that look like tubes so I would be changing those when I could afford it anyway!
  18. I'm sourcing an import because my budget is not great enough to get what I want in a UK car. I'm sure they are no different in terms of driving and engine but do have differences in spec. If money was not an issue I would get a UK car however, I do think the flood of imports onto the market recently will ultimately affect the second hand uk price as well.
  19. I could already have a cunning plan - husband loves fishing - he can't get his gear in his BMW cos the seats don't split so he uses my Honda - he'll be stuffed when i get a 2 seater again so HE might need a second car! I wonder if he can talk me into letting him.........
  20. so you're telling me once I get it I have to start working on Victor Meldrew again then?
  21. The only thing that keeps niggling in the back of my mind while I'm looking for my car is - what will happen in winter. I love living in the sticks but in winter driving is bad even in a front wheel car. At the moment it's totally a heart over head situation which I'll deal with when it happens but what does everyone else do? I keep hearing more and more that a lot of you seem to tuck your car up in the winter but I will have no choice - unless I can buy a VERY cheap reliable banger. No public transport to my job from here either.
  22. As mentioned earlier, when you're into cars as a hobby/interest it's hard not to want to try something else after a very short while. It's a bit like people that move onto the next partner when the spark's gone! Just remember - the grass isn't always greener (unless you've got endless cash that is)!
  23. Yeah, I had seen that one - hoping to get one with low miles via the import route but if it doesn't work out then something like that would be a definite. Feel free to keep looking!
  24. are they the composers to the neighbours and home and away sound track............. No, but they wrote that famous tune - Stuey gets knocked out by a woman!
  25. another person that loves cleaning their car! Hello!
