we wouldn't be able to trace somebody from their number plate over here. Only the police or DVLA etc can do that.

if they don't ask for your most recent job as a referee then don't give it - give ones that you would prefer. As stated before, usually they only ask for facts such as - attendance, sick, time keeping but the biggie is "would you employ this person again" to which they can obviously say no. However, if you get glowing references from past jobs and then a dodgy one from the current job it would explain that the problem seems to be with the latest employer and not your wife. Why don't you get somebody you know with a business to write to them and ask for a reference as if they are giving your wife a job and see what comes back just to set your mind at rest?

most places definitely want your most recent employer to give a reference. You can usually start 'losing' things off your CV later on but difficult with your most recent post as they will be providing a P45. If there has been a problem where you think they may give a dodgy reference sometimes it's better to be up front. I told my current employer that I didn't get on with my last boss!

just make sure you keep em on along with the helmet and visor to avoid any disappointment!

10pm tonight there is a program on with Anne Widdecombe where she challenges the benefits culture. The clip I saw had some bloke with 15 kids raking in nearly 40k in benefits while watching his plasma TV. I know how much you lot love getting hot under the collar about that so maybe one to watch tonight?

how much space do you need and what sort of things will you need it for. The reason I ask is that obviously a 206 being a hatchback is not much different to a lot of other hatchbacks with the seats down so how much more room would you need?

If anyone likes immature smutty humour (can't think there's many on here that would like that sort of thing - yeah right!), you will love Gavin and Stacy on BBC2 at 10pm if you missed it first time around. It had me in stitches - honest. Also was browsing through Sky and I had a quick look on the Audi channel which I always thought must be a bit wierd but they have got a review (which of course is totally biased) of their R8 if anyone's interested. It was quite good just to see and hear the car in action. It's repeated several times if you want to watch it. The european drifting championships are also being shown on Motors TV at various times this week but it's not that thrilling apart from the one Zed taking part of course!

When you gave your son an opportunity to have a drive he might have liked it so much he's got the spare keys and taking it out for a blast when you are all tucked up in bed? Wouldn't be the first time that has happened....... Trust me - he values his knee caps too highly! Tell you what though, I never thought of the possibility of them being nicked! I'm sure they'll turn up when I'm looking for something else! I hope!

when I got my car i took all the comments about needing spare keys very seriously as apparently it's hard to get hold of them for an import. I was really pleased when Jurgen gave me 3 sets. 2 normal ones which had the new Cat 1 alarm fobs attached plus a valet key. Yep you guessed it - can't find my bloody spare keys anywhere! I have the set I'm using and the valet key but god knows what i've done with the others. I'm so annoyed with myself. They MUST be in the house somewhere but can I find them? I could do with Ming and the boys coming round to do a fingertip search!
