  1. well done - glad you finally got sorted! When you've had a bit more practice with the painting get yourself round to mine and give me a hand!
  2. and I thought you were going to say - "tonight I'll be..........Limahl from Kajagoogoo" then appear in a cloud of smoke.
  3. I need one of those as well. My JDM didn't have one - I think because I had a lot of aerials around the back window for the TV. I would like one though.
  4. I also use Sofa sofa - they send you the sofas direct from the factory which cuts out the middle man therefore the prices are great. If you don't like it you have 2 weeks to decide and they will come and take it back free of charge. 2 year guarantee. I bought my first sofa from them in 1997 and it has lasted all this time! I am about to take delivery from them again. Can't fault them. They have a great website if you google them.
  5. welcome along. As for the differences, when it comes down to it there doesn't really have to be any differences the cars are more or less the same other than there are more spec choices in Japan so you can get a lower spec than UK if you choose to or you can get one the same. I would simply pick a car you can afford that fits your requirements be it from japan or the UK. As for the Tesco insurance - I tried them but they required a tracker and were also very expensive for me. I used Keith Michaels but RAC were also good.
  6. Totally agree with Martin and Beavis - you have already made plans and booked a hotel - you wish you'd known about the christening earlier but you are arranging to meet friends and can't back out now. Simple. Why do men have to tell big porkies everytime they don't want to do something? Just tell em straight!
  7. For gods sake don't apply Sarnie - it would be a step DOWN the ladder for anyone! They are mostly irritating knob heads but that's what makes it so watchable. And for gods sake why don't they do their research, fancy telling Sugar you don't like football!!!
  8. Hi Lucy - nice to see us girls are taking over! I have a soft spot for Hondas as well. Don't worry about the usual lecherous ones on the forum, they'd all run a mile in real life!
  9. cheeky sh*t!!! I AM NOT 50!!!! Not that I'm being defensive or anything......... I take it all my cards and presents are in the post then? You could all put together and buy me some wheels!
  10. so I don't need it then - phew! And yes I am getting dippy - it's my age (big birthday tomorrow )
  11. that is hilarious! - Get yourself some megs quick or speed detailer Jay - spray it on your car while you dry it - makes it a lot easier.
  12. I've just put some new wipers on from ESR - the Bosch ones. What is the little extra clip bit for that comes in the box - I haven't put it anywhere cos I can't work out what it's for!

    Binned it

always hideous to see a Z like that but your ok so that's the main thing (again). Have you thought about buying it back off the insurance and making a project out of it or even selling the bits? A friend recently had a bike accident, bike was a write off but he got the money off the insurance and they also let him have the bike to break up and sell.
  14. we don't have gas either, used to have LPG in tank cost a fortune! The boiler has had various repairs already is totally crap. I can't wait to get a new one I am so sick of living with concorde in the corner! As for the granite, had it in the old house so I know the score but looks like I'll be having el-cheapo this time around!
  15. ta that's quite useful. Not sure what the two different colours signify or which bits get done at which service though.
  16. I can add to the boiler woes. It's my own fault, i've spent more time test driving a car when I buy it than I did buying a bloody house. boiler is crap here, sounds like a jumbo jet, fires up only when it feels like it, stinks of oil, oh and the pipework is done in such a way that if you only want hot water in summer but no heating forget it as the water is pumped round the upstairs radiators regardless so it's boiling upstairs and cold down. We are having a new worcester bosch fitted for 3k all in. Bang go my granite worktops and I daren't even mention new wheels for the Z......
  17. and here's me thinking there was something pervy in it as usual!
  18. bring a paint brush!
  19. I was only joking with the 'have i won yet' comment. I don't really understand the rules but I was happy to put another 2 quid in the club pot whether I win or not.
  20. We needed our fascias guttering etc doing and got a quote for about 2k to have them re done in UPVC. Just paid a man to paint the boards instead for now. If you really want to experience a builders yard just pop over here for a couple of hours!
  21. I've done it - have I won yet? This would be just the thing to cheer my son up who has finally found some panels for his crashed R6, paid for them and Parcel Force have lost them!
  22. This place is fairly local to me and I would like to build up a raport with someone close enough to ring if I need anything doing or have any problems. He mainly does skylines and scoobies at the moment. And Stuey, your joke is too subtle, I don't get it - enlighten me or give me the answer.
  23. I'm thinking of treating my car to a service now its hit a massive 10k miles! I've found a decent sounding local-ish jap car specialist but how do I know what needs doing in line with the schedule? I would like to be able to tell him what I want doing but other than the obvious I don't know. So what's in a p1, p2 and p3. I've used the search button but it didn't really help. Ta
  24. Nice bike! I'm a big fan of the green but I like the orange even better!
