that was another tip on moneyexpert.com if you move house or have a technical problem which they charge you for - say you will cancel rather than pay it and they will do it half price or free (apparently)
I think I will cancel mine altogether after xmas and just stick with freeview channels - I personally don't watch a massive amount of sky tv anyway - its mainly the couch potato that uses it!
It was the customer service number which I got off the interactive screen. Just followed the menu on the phone until I got the "I want to reduce my package" menu. I reckon that actually puts you through to a retention hotline! I've also heard if you threaten to cancel altogether you can get it half price for 3 months. Lots of tips about sky on moneysavingexpert.com
Phoned sky last night to scale down my package. Hardly ever watch the movies and since Leeds Utd are no longer prolific on TV hardly ever watch sky sports. Most of the bike racing etc is on eurosport or normal tv.
I am currently paying £57 a month for sky+ which includes £10 for multiroom -
I phoned them and said I wanted to cancel multiroom and change my subscription to cancel the premium packages but keep all the 'entertainment' packages. Surprise surprise - all of a sudden they have a special offer and can let me keep it all for £30 a month until the end of January! I realise they do this in the hope that when it comes to it you will keep it after that time has expired. In fact we have done this before a few years ago.
Anyway, if anyone wants to save a few quid in this current climate I'd recommend giving them a call but don't ask for the offer - just tell them you are going to cancel or go onto a cheaper deal.
I agree, each to their own and all that. I have to say I know for a fact my son and all his mates would love those wheels so maybe its an age thing...........
Hi Cara - welcome along. There does seem to be a lot of Zeds in Aberdeen now - just the right time of year with the snow arriving! Shouldn't you all be in big four wheel drives up there?
Nice one Tim (you've been quiet lately!)
I have just overtaken you over the last couple of months - mines a 2003 and it's just touched 18k. Mind you, I've put 14k of those on it in 15 months............
I totally agree with you - you may as well keep it until it becomes collectable!
Ice all over the car, frost on the trees and verges - slippy slidey time all ready this year?
I bloody dread it living in the sticks with untreated roads. I did manage only one sideways journey through my village last year so fingers crossed! It's a long time until spring though!
I wish they'd just bloody shut up about it - it's ok if you have no intention of moving house you just go with the rise and fall and rise again over the years but for those that HAVE to move it's a nightmare!
is there a way of telling who's in there before you enter? Not that there's anyone I don't want to be left in a room with, just wondered...............
fix it notice = vehicle defect notice. You have 14 days to get it put right, take it to an MOT station (who may or may not charge you), they fill a form in to say it's correct. You then have to send it to police. Pain in the arse!
They are doing brilliantly! As en ex Hull girl myself (cue the comments) I am watching them with great interest! Not to mention my cousin is in the youth team. I heard on the tv today they are 500 to 1 to win the premiership. Surely it's worth backing - more chance than winning the lottery!
