  2. cool ill have a look . Robin Hood being. . . Nottingham? Quite a way out isnt it?
  3. Really? I didnt know it was like real real terrible by public transport, i thought general concencous was south leeds was quite a bit rougher than north
  4. thanks guys/girls, great info. Yeah i am single but will be wanting a 2 bedroom place, secure parking etc. I was thinking maybe a semi-rural location , but thats only because i want a place that is maybe a little out of the mee-lay, though few nice local bars/wine bars wouldnt go amiss Village-y sounds good but depends what u mean by posh, theres classy, then there pretentious. . . .big difference will be working in Holbeck just off the A653 J
  5. What's York like? Ive heard some great things about it and its commutable to leeds on the train J
  6. cheers yeah places that i have shortlisted were Chapel Allerton, Otley, Alwoodly, Headingley and Roundhay. Ill look into Guiseley too. Apparently Scarcroft, and Wakefield and Whetherby are also worth a look . . . ive been to none yet . .
  7. Ive stayed numerous times recently in Premier Inn- Tower Hill. Good location and great rooms/service/breakfast. Around £100 a night, and is 5 mon walk from the tube and also Tower of London. Just been redecorated and some of the rooms are massive. I personally recommend room 511. Looked at the fire evac floor plan, and if i can remember 509 and 507 were also just as big, no doubt the other floors follow the same plan. Hope this helps J
  8. Hey guys ive just got a contract for 12 months up in Leeds . Had never really been up there before the interview so been real busy trying to get to know the areas on the net , good/bad and all that. Understand North and West are the best bits to live in . Gotta go find a pad this week so hitting the rental sites hard this evening. Not a quick move either for me from good old Guernsey but well up the some change of scene. Any of you lot from up that way? Whatcha got to say about it? Any recommendations and info of course well appreciated. . i know no one up there yet Not sure whether the Z is coming- with either. Pretty impressed with the amount of flat you get for ya money compared to London. Pretty refreshing J
  9. Ive got a Spare Cubby (Flap style) for 04+ (?) PM me for details + price
  10. I have an electro-magnetic sensor system like i think Phil is talking about fitted to my JDM. Works really well. Just a piece of tape fitted on the INSIDE on the bumper. You need to take the bumper off, and it hooks up to reverse lamp regards Jamie
  11. Great pics, but the more i see it, they more i think it isnt as special as i first thought. I was parked up next to one the other day, and to be honest. . .the Z looks pretty damn good. Prefer the rear of the R8 but really, side on, they look quite similar though the R8 IMO looks a little less agresive and feminine (streamlined/squashed) that said, i wouldnt say no to a swap . . J
  12. Its no ones fault, but the posties. . . if he said it would be insured, common sense says it chould be the full amount. If insurance was not discussed, then it should not be assumed it was. Its a shitty situation whatever, but i dont think it is clear exactly 'who is at fault', unless you clearly said 'insure it', and it was inadequately insured, that would be dumb If it ends up being 'just a crap situation' and either party then wants to empathise and obligingly help out, or whatever, its at thier discretion, its not very clear cut IMHO
  13. Oww thanks for all the nice words guys. . . glad you lot like it! With Z's i love the way you get so much car for the money. . .i mean, i was parked up next to an Audi R8 the other day, which is like 5 years newer and about 5 times the price, yet it didnt really look that much nicer. . not even that much more expensive. When i end up selling the Z (never), its for sure im gonna have a hard time finding a car for a reasonable price that looks anywhere near as good . . . .thats for sure. Think that MIGHT me my modding over with now. . .only mod i would do it a OEM look carbon bonnet. . .but thats a maybe. . . RE:Spacers. . . yes, once i have the fronts off i will decide if i wonna keep em or not and if not ill let you know. The rears are 25mm(i think) and the fronts are 15mm (defo) i believe Jamie
  14. Well chuffed mate! Bit lower than i was expecting on the front. I litterally have to come in at a 'special' angle to get into my drive now. Helps keep me alert! Thats only lowered like 15mm on Hotchkis! J
  15. Well, ive done it! After waiting patiently with the paint shop for 5 weeks and all end of trouble with paint shop not being able to get a good finish on the bumper for god knows what reason and having to redo it (i dont think it was prepped enough as it was urethane), its finally come good and is looking great. I took these pics 2 weeks ago when she was nice and clean, but ill take some better ones in due course, just waiting get get a shoot done with me and a friend. Its had the Aerosync N1 urethane front bumper, and a second hand set of Volks SF challenge 19" , 9.5" front and 10.5" rear wrapped in 265/30 - 19 front and 285/30 - 19. I had waited over a year to put those wheels on, the black circles are NOT cheap in those sizes. . so i had been saving the pennys In these pics, the front still has wheel spacers on which i am going to take off, so if they look like they stick out abit. . .they do. Props to : Adam @ Z1 Performance for the bumper (looked like a dead body arriving in a HUGE box from the USA) Envy Performance JDM Performance and Big Phil @ ESR cheers for all the help guys and good service Hope you likey Jamie
  16. Well i finally got 'the tool' via JDM Performance, in double quick time. Great service. So shoudl be takin those pesky spacers off some time very soon thanks for everyones help Jamie
  17. like . . .buy a different car . . .in that case
  18. does make you wonder . . . . . Its like those books that say 'How to make a million on the internet', and you wander if it works so well. . . .why are you stuck selling books giving away the big 'secret'
  19. Yeah it does, i didnt realise that. The De-limiter box/Speedo combo box i got from here http://www.ncs-systems.com/prod/1457 fits with a new wire running from that box, to the back of a wire in the main speedo pod. I had to cut/disconnect the original wire, and connect the 'new' one, which i asssume gives slower pulses, reading resulting in MPH. This also. . .some how. . . .alters the reading on the centre digital pod. I thought it converted ALL KM/H reading to MP/H as the signal it used to get was not MP/H'ed so to speak. So you think the average speed and the fuel consumption is still in km/h? I knew it was still 'per liter' and not 'per gallon' but i thought it was at least all in MPH
  20. Afraid not, I don't have any disks at all. I'm just a poor IT security professional / software engineer. Average rate for IT security contracts in the UK is at least £400 a day. . . . come on now . . Do you still need a JDM disk?
  21. my converted JDM always lies.. If im going along at 70mph and press 'reset' on the average speed for example, it thinks im doing 85 . . . .and will say average 85 etc ... . even though the digital readout where its getting the speed info from says 70 . . . its weird.
  22. LOL naa talkign about this rear Whos wagon is this? I saw it around wheni was there, and what bumper is that? J[/img]
  23. that review Z has like forged pistons etc. . .not really a review of the VXROM
