  1. Now do I drive the Porsche or the Merc first? Decisions, decisions
  2. Top run-down of events dude You forgot to mention however that you have adopted Dan as a foster brother
  3. So who's going to pay for this? Oh it will the taxpayer of course! But, hey, if you want to use the lane, you will have to pay even more tax just for the priviledge.
  4. Looks good. Best of luck with the sale, but it may be a bit slow at this time of year.
  5. I quite agree and in the nature of the festive spirit, I'm happy to oblige
  6. Ah but the snowy time is coming and he has much better chance of not getting stuck with me bouncing up and down in the car, and I know exactly what mental image is running through his gay little head right now And also being a large cumbersome buffoon I give off far more BTUs so I can save his entire family money on heating bills, which can be offset against my appetite for Guinness and KFC. Another string to my bow Jay if you want to choose a 20 stone bouncing, farting baffoon over little old me, then don't come crying when your car is full of dents and your house smells like a cross between a brewery and a dodgy curry house
  7. I may do one next year in the Exige... You're probably aware of this Kev, but Lotus do their own sessions at Hethel. A mate of mine did it recently and was very impressed with the day. I didn't realise they did track days. I knew about the factory open days though. Any idea how much? I'd be up for a mixed Walshy Day. He does 4 car groups for £190. I'm thinking March time? PS: Steve go on post some BMW pictures and get some stick.... I think it was around £800 but It's a 2 day event and includes a factory tour and a full day on the test track using their cars. My mate arranged it through his local dealer.
  8. Jay I'm gutted Fancy choosing Dan over me. I'm much smaller than he is and therefore I eat less and take up less space. And since I'm about half his size, the power-to-weight in your car will be much better with me than him.

  10. I can personally recommend this guy, but he isn't cheap. www.donpalmer.co.uk
  11. Mine also appears to do this but I have learn't to live with it. The throttle on the Zed is fly-by-wire so can't really stick. What revs is it idling at when warm? If it's higher than about 750 - 800 rpm with the climate control off, then it needs adjusting.
  12. Squirrels!!!!!!!!! Sorry. Sounds as if it may be coming from the wheel area. You could try jacking the back up and spinning each rear wheel to see if it does it.
  13. Does this mean that Kovalinon is going to Mclaren then?
  14. Meanwhile getting back on thread Is it the picture or are those footwells really narrow?
  15. It's a sport car and as such should be driven quickly. But you can drive quickly without being erratic. In fact the fastest line is the smoothest, so I tend to drive as quickly as the conditions will allow, but by feeding in the power progressivley, you're not provoking the back-end out.
  16. Join the queue Dan. I put my name down for this much earlier in the thread.
  17. +1. Planning to go up on the Friday.
  18. Right, as I look out the window right now and see nothing but gloom... But then again this afternoon the sun will probably pop out from wherever it's hiding. Raining hard here with winds around 60-70 mph. What's more it's only 4.00 pm and it's nearly dark already. I hate the winter
  19. Absolutely brilliant. Ari Vatanen is one of my all-time favourite rally drivers. I was driving the course car on the Welsh rally a few years back when we encountered a delay on the last stage. Anyway, just as the problem got sorted out and we were about to leave the start to open the stage, Ari arrives in his Escort and is raring to go. So I go over to him and explain that there has been a delay but I'm about to get going and open up the stage. Ari isn't happy. He's leading the event. His tyres are warm (tarmac stage) and he wants to get stuck in. Anyway we agree that once I get about halfway into the stage we will radio the start to let him go and hopefully I will get to the finish before he catches me up. The stage is 17 miles over very fast tarmac and we are regularly seeing speeds of over 100mph. We get about mid way and radio the start to let Ari go. Now what happens next? We get to the finish ok and just as I'm getting out of my car Ari appears absolutely flat out. He's covered the 17 miles in about much the same time as I've taken to cover 8-9 miles. So I go over to him and say "you didn't catch me then" And he says with a smile on his face" no but I could see you in the distance and that made me go faster". The guy is an obsolute legend.
  20. Tere that looks And how lucky are you to have some sunshine to make the car look even better.
