  1. I agree with Graham, Chris S first attempt is clearly Spanglish!
  2. Ok, Fran can keep Amanda company I like to give them a challenge it will speed them up on the day. Famous last words for me now of course as it will end up you lot waiting for me for some reason!
  3. Polishing and waxing should all be done already people, should just be a quick wash and some final gloss sealant before the weekend and you should be good to go. You'll only need to clean it again when you get to Moreton
  4. Trying to catch up too! She can pootle along with Fran. She's not at the level yet where she needs to keep dropping her seatpost to get maximum movement over the bike, it will come in time though, she has bunny hops pretty much nailed now
  5. Managed Swinley Blue & Red a bit quicker this time and with no diversion managed to make it around the full loop http://app.strava.com/activities/53757269/embed/24ab6496fce86c1e20ce000c32ca1261b5d9ff33 Also got myself one of these to help me keep up with Mr AK in Wales While he is stopping to put his seat up and down, I can get a head start on the next section of trail
  6. Yea, thats pretty scary Note to self .. never live on the edge of a lake in Canada Just googled it
  7. We'll be aiming to get there for late afternoon/early evening to catch up with people and have dinner. Graham, I assume no plans have been made for the Friday evening with dinner arrangements, we can just turn up and get food in the restaurant? Otherwise we'll have fire up the BBQ in the car park
  8. Private medical will only cover what the EHIC doesnt, usual squirming out of it tactic. If you have the old EHIC the info on it will stay the same other than the expiry date IIRC, so still worth having as if you've already renewed but just dont have the new card they will be able to use the details Make sure you tell your card issuer you will be away too, just so their fraud team dont think something dodgy is going on.
  9. After about 5 previous visits, I think I'm allowed a day off At least you're not missing the Sunday this time
  10. Do you have the old EHIC card Dan? Should be fine using that if you get into trouble so long as its valid on the system. We went to the Med with out old ones one year, but didnt need to test out the theory fortunately!
  11. now there's a time saver - Colin, care to share ? Only works with CP sat navs, so you'll need someone with a newer car to borrow it from
  12. Yes you can have multiple routes in the CP nav, certainly enough for 5, maybe more, I never needed more than that. Remember to pick your way points carefully, if in doubt, steal Colins I do also think you can save them to a USB and share them but at the time I had my CP, no one else had one to try it with.
  13. Yay, now time to work out how to use my sat nav again Oh you'll have fun with that if my experience of Connect Premium was anything to go by. PITA to get it to take the route you want, but once you convince it the best way to go, its excellent. I seem to remember the biggest problem was the limited number of way points you can have in a single route. I gave up and had morning and afternoon routes in the end I think. Remember seeing Martin at stupid o'clock in Moreton car park as I tried to programme it and I think he was surprised to see me there some time later
  14. Agreed, starting to lose the plot now, its all down to who uses the least tyres
  15. I'm not allowed more than one road and MTB, Mrs I has me under the thumb With the new Swinley being so rollabe, I'm quite tempted to get a HT for blasting around and taking the wear/tear off the FS, but I dont think thats very likely. Off to Swinley in a mo for a solo lap, hopefully not much traffic at this time of the morning.
  16. Very smart matey, neater than before. Wish we had the space at the end of the garage to have our bikes like that but would mean getting rid of our racking.
  17. You want a smart charger. Letting it drain right down will permenantly damage the battery and overcharging on a trickle charger can also lead to damage. Smart chargers are relatively cheap these days and will just charge when required rather than constantly charging at a low rate. This will keep the battery in tip top condition. Optimate or CTek will both do a good job
  18. Hit the Vimeo and it will open a new tab with it in Cracking vid
