  1. Silica bags work very well at drying sealed units out, its what they are designed for. If there is not break in the seal they will draw out any moisture. Remember to put them in the oven too for a few minutes if you use them again to dry them out. I sh!t you not it works, I use them in my camera casing when scuba diving and they work well at keeping moisture away. As you can imagine, diving the casing gets very cold so any moisture quickly condenses in the casing. Also if you have aircon in your house, you can stick them in an airconned room to help it further
  2. I might go get me helemt tonight then, just in case we have an inpromtue track session outbreak as I'm getting tempted by it again Remember the suncream too folks, out and about around the track there is always a breeze and its all too easy to get burnt!
  3. Buy 2 of the above and zip tie the edges together? Or get the missus to stick a few stitches through it, job done
  4. My Samsung lappy and Mac Mini survived Wales just fine, who was it who said Acer were fine?
  5. Have a good one guys, and BM, stay away from the carbon, I know you'll want some for your b'day
  6. You think that, but a few I have met that have/had TT, I would question if they knew much about it at all before they had it done! Search button is always your friend though, theres been plenty of talk of all this and the various options. As said before, Alex, Envy, and Martin all have different kits, so try asking them for advice, but only once you know the basics or you'll pee them off!
  7. Yeah definately pop down to the Mod day @ Chillis
  8. Theres quite a lot of things that could be stopping it from working, but if its still under warentee then I'd take it back. Things I would check -Try a USB Keyboard and see if that works, if it does you know its the hardware/drivers and not software related -Check out Device Manager and make sure the KB shows up and doesnt have any warnings -Check out Keyboard under control panel and make sure its all good in there -Last resort, start removing the retaining screws for the KB and make sure the ribbon cable is secure. If loose secure it, if secure, well I'm out of ideas! Do any of the buttons work on the KB at all or are they all dead?
  9. By PM would be the best way, knocking people off the list as you get a positive selection
  10. I'd usually use a mixture of cotton buds, quick detailer and in extreme circumstances a stanley blade with tape on it to get right into the tiny nooks and crannys
  11. Was nothing really, glad its all in tip top condition
  12. I think you may be onto something then Nah, shes not that good, I just want to see her beat Louis! Better get her into more training, she hasnt quite mastered heel toe just yet
  13. If you can make it to around Mikes area that would be good. Me and Amanda are taking a couple of days in N.Wales so heading up from there to shorten the journey!
  14. Got the pass and wristbands today mate If anyone wants to meet up on the way, we are meeting at the Cherwell Valley Services off the M40/A43 (google it!) at 7:45ish for an 8am set off to Silverstone.
  15. Its a standard Zed thing. Some do it more than others, but they all shake
  16. Took me a while to work out what you were on about then! I first thought you meant when we left after the hoon and I'm not staying til Wed I'm sure on the way up we can take plenty of stops and make a nice journey of it, will give you plenty of time to catch us Mart

    Crazy Dials

Thats what IanS16 suggested right at the start of the thread. Did you not try it then?
  18. Having talked it through with Amanda, we think that the Moffat is probably the best bet. The ones we originally eyed up further along the route would be a bit far for Colin I think, so Moffat is the closest really nice hotel to hit without it making the trip for us going from North Wales area too short. Not sure that makes any sense at all, basically we think its a nice medium of making progress in a day but not too long

    Girl's

I've tried beleive me. I think she wants to use my login so she can get into the bitching area ... errr.. I mean team area After JTS I will see what we can do about this Car Limits day. I think we'll just have to goto a public session as they are pretty well booked up for the year but some public ones have lots of spaces. We can all sign up and see whos quickest
  24. Louis, you'll need to contact the organisers to get a press tabard to get access to the good photospots, its the same on most tracks. They will likely want to see that you have insurance in case anything goes wrong and you get injured or cause someone else to get injured (public liability is one insurance they'll want, not sure on anything else). I have tried this before and failed However, a 300mm lense from low down in the stands will get you good pics
