That Ring one should do the trick. A friend of mine works there and has it, he uses it to jump all kinds of cars, bigger than the Zed too. Careful with lesser rated ones, they cant always provide the power, and more importantly, you may over stress it which could cause bits to fail or burn out We jumped a big landie with the Ring one and the cables got a bit warm to say the least, so I'd be worried trying to turn over a Zed with a lesser rated pack.

Fifth Gear is dead - this was the last series IIRC. So he will be free to do what he likes. He didnt appear on the show, but it would be good to have him as the new Stig. They should acquire Plato too, that would make a great show, Jezza and crew feck about, Tiff is the Stig and Plato can do real reviews.

You'd be insuring and taxing it instead of the Zed and it will be cheaper on fuel so you'll actually be saving a fair wedge of cash there, although you're quite right about the risk of something going wrong. That said, you have that with all cars, and unless it's gearbox or engine related you could probably live with it on a shed. I can see that working if you swap the shed for the whole of the winter and declare the Zed SORN and just get garage insurance (ie tell them you arent driving it), but if you still want the Zed for nice winter drives when the weather is nice, then a shed will cost more. No doubt the stock air boxes with a good filter will be as good as the Stillen Gen 3 when they have both been mapped. Its widely known on the 350z that the stock airboxes are the best option, so safe to say that'd be the same with the 370z too. The only exceptions to that is that stock the Gen3's are meant to mess with the fueling slightly to give a bit more power, and also they sound better than stock Once you've had a map though, the gains from the Gen3 fooling the ECU are lost - or rather built upon.

How come? I think HDDs are a very personal thing, coming down to personal experiences. Back when I was in uni Seagate was my no 1 choice for drives as they had the longest warranty and also pretty much the quietest drives. Hitatchi were the worst with their "Death Star" drives. Not sure how things have changed, I'd imagine these days they are all like for like pretty much. Anyone put a SSD in a PS3 yet?

Some good numbers there Mark - will definately be along to see you when the weather pics up. Just for clarification - the HKS exhaust uses the OEM Y-pipe? And then you fitted decats and XYZ pipe to it for the second lot? Be interesting to see what my Stillen does with its Y-pipe. Guess it will be somewhere between the 2 lots you did. Also was the Stillen intake used the Gen3 long tubes (that go into the bumper)?

Yes sorry, I am only taking about Xenon/HIDs as per the OP.

They're not 'required', mate. Just a nice to have. They are for OEM sale in the UK - have to have washers and self levelling. But not retrofit or import I beleive.

I'm (un)fortunate that I dont see with stereo vision, so its completely wasted on me. I do hope its a fad otherwise I cant go to the cinema any more depending on the system they use

Good news to hear that there are some genuine techs out there still that are looking out for the punters The Zed gearbox does sound rather loud compared to other cars, I feel this is probably the main reason they sent you away. It shouldnt be overly loud though. I guess for others out there that think theres is loud, the best thing to do it get with another Zed and compare. Glad you got it all sorted, and just before the warranty ran out

You would hope there would be a significant difference wouldnt you, but somehow I get the feeling that there wouldnt! Maybe we should ask someone like Tim@Chris Knott and get an official position

Your time will come matey. Mine lasted into the forth year then suddenly it decided it didnt want to play any more. Would fire no problems after being left for days, then all of a sudden, being left for more than 2 would kill it.
