  1. upon entering Billing you pass through a security gate where you pay ( a small version of the peage on the European autoroutes) tell them which event you've come for and how many nights you are stopping. Discounts are available for different events on site. You can tent, caravan or motorhome. (no electric hook ups where we are). No fires. BBQ's clear of the ground. There are speed bumps, just the rolls of tarmac accross the road. They didn't bother my 260 and I'm sure my 350 will be ok. If you are worried scout out the bumps first iirc you can drive round some. Bear in mind that many many car clubs have annual meetings here so the bumps can't be that bad. Just prior to the entrance is a petrol station which also has a car wash facility. There are various eating places or bring your own. Toilet/ablutions are good but sometimes get crowded at various times of the morning/evening depending on how busy the site is. The security people are very sharp. You don't get bothered at all by them unless you're naughty, then they jump on you. No messing, no wheelies, no ott sound systems and leave the ducks alone!

  9. Come on you peeps. Enter the F1 competition over on the Z Club site. Too late for Australia to count but no-one's going to score very highly on this first event so you can easily make up your places.
  10. Hey GuyZ & GalZ hurry up and get your predictions listed. The extended deadline for this first race closes at midnight tonight. Have a go! It's all for fun. Even if (like me) you haven't got a clue get your entries in and keep Rob busy maintaining the league tables.
  11. I'll take it and pay postage if you will post it. too far to collect.
  12. The Z Club invites you to take part in our annual F1 race competition The basic rules are you try and predict the order in which the drivers finish up to the eighth place For each driver who finishes in the place you predict correctly you get 5 points, For any driver that finishes in the top eight but not in the place you predicted you get 2 point For any driver who you predict will to finish in the top eight and fails you get no points Ie 5 points awarded to a correct forecasted position and 1 point for placing a driver in the top eight but in the wrong order! If you placed 4 in the correct position and two in the wrong position you would score 24 points These points are totalled up through the year and the one with the most points wins All forecasts to be posted on the Z Club site and all before midnight (UK time) on the Wednesday before each race - NO EXCEPTIONS and if you miss the deadline you score no points for that round Any changes in finishing positions due to team appeals/stewards'/FIAs' decisions etc will be corrected when those changes are applied ! Drivers and teams for 2009 ( I hope) Lewis HAMILTON McLaren Heikki KOVALEINEN McLaren Felipe MASSA Ferrari Kimi RAIKKONEN Ferrari Robert KUBICA BMW Nick HEIDFELD BMW Jarno TRULLI Toyota Timo GLOCK Toyota Nico ROSBERG Williams Kazuki NAKAJIMA Williams Jenson BUTTON BrawnGP Rubens BARRICHELLO BrawnGP Fernando ALONSO Renault Nelson PIQUET Jr Renault Sebastian VETTEL RedBull Mark WEBBER RedBull Giancarlo FISICHELLA ForceIndia Adrian SUTIL ForceIndia Sébastien BOURDAIS ToroRosso Sébastien BUEMI ToroRosso COME ON PEEPS. In order to try for a few more entries the deadline for the first race only has been extended until midnight Friday27 March 09. There are prizes on offer but in order to win one you have to be a paid up member of the Z Club. Members of other z clubs are more than welcome to take part for fun and you'd be surprised how competetive it gets as the season progresses. Get your predictions in before the deadline on Friday. You will enjoy the races so much more waiting to see how accurate you are. You must use the thread on the Z club site to enter. Entries made on other club sites will not count. www.zclub.net
  13. why? do you think she'll find you?
  14. If anyone from here wishes to attend there is still room on the Z Club stand but you must be quick. You are welcome to join us. Slip over to www.zclub.net (The event is listed in the centre of the home page) Contact Madmarco over there to see what is still available.
  15. seems a bargain to me. My local Nissan dealer in Mansfield (20?miles from you) wants £213 +vat for the same job.
  16. as a co - organiser of this meet I am always happy to see comments either good or bad however I would point out to you that this was a 300zx meeting that this club was invited to. That's why there were so many 300zx's present.
  17. you want to be over on www.zclub.net. A mine of information there about your car and loads of expert help if you ask.
  18. that's a pretty tame bunch of comments so far. I'm not trying to provoke a race riot merely an exchange of opinions. Being 'British' we will all sit on the fence and let things go from bad to worse so get it off your chests now, don't say "I told you so" later
  19. I make no apologies for reproducing this letter which was on BBC Ceefax yesterday. I think it puts across how I and most of us feel. ' What on earth has happened to our country? We allow Muslim extremists to insult our soldiers, consider amnesty for all illegal immigrants and do not deport those that break our laws, denigrate British born Christians and treat brave and gallant Gurkhas like 2nd or 3rd class citizens. Have we bocome mice instead of men? Where has our national pride gone?'
  20. Hi Rob, good to see you over here at last with the new generation Can't beat a 'real' car though. Keep the flag flying.
  21. personally I have no problem with a road speed limit being reduced if there is a Genuine Reason for doing so. What I do object to is the enforcement of such a speed limit by more widespread use of cameras. It is painfully obvious by now that these are set at low speeds in order to gather revenue, NOT to genuinely enforce the speed limit. I will admit that average speed cameras are slightly better, erring a little more in favour of the driver however I feel that motorists are penalised far too highly for relatively minor speeding infringements. I can remember the 'old days' when the Copper gave you 10mph on his speed device whether it be radar, vascar or a bloody hairdryer and he stopped you and told you that you'd been naughty. If you argued he told you (quite rightly) that it made up for the times you hadn't been caught. Most motorists regarded it as 'a fair cop'. Now we all drive round watching the speedo instead of the road and hoping we don't cough or blink in the wrong place.
