  1. Like said before, I only switch it off if I need to have a good launch from a traffic light. There is also a small track around my parents house where I go to practise powerslides etc, of course it goes off then as well. With bad weather I don't even think about turning it off. With the standard Potenza's I tried to launch on a wet surface with ESP off. When I changed to 2nd gear, wow... That was a real eye opener. The back of the car went from one side of the road all the way to the other, freaking dangerous! I just managed not to crash it
  2. I think even 550-600 miles on one tank is possible. I did now 430 miles on a tank with 70% highway driving, sometimes playing around a bit. If you have a long trip, ie to the South of France or so with not too much traffic jams etc, you'll be able to get a really decent amount of miles out of 1 tank!!
  3. I agree that the Z's power is not completely explosive. However, I never notice how fast I'm already going after changing gears to 4th. Then you realise that it does have quite some power to get you going!
  4. The Nissan system is only on the back though in my case. I really like it though as reversing is a PITA sometimes with no too much sight towards the back...
  5. After bedding in the DS2500, are they braking well from a cold start? And any annoying squeels during braking with them or do you apply a particular grease to the backside of them? Cheers
  6. I also seem to notice when I start my car and the air-con goes on automatically, it's not really cold. This seems to be related that my climate control decides to use air from inside of the car only and switch much later to outside air. If I select the 'outside air' straight away, the air-con is really cold. Just my experience with it....
  7. About 300-350 miles out of a full tank most of the time....
  8. 2.17 mb? Resize and save as a jpg!!!
  9. I would would say it's the 30 profile tyre you got in the back. Some Z's VDC/TCS are really sensitive regarding the overall height of your wheels. People like lomoto run it with no problems, while others have the interference of the VDC all the time...
  10. I know Nissan was gonna sell this item in the near future, but I haven't heard anything of Peter yet. He said it will be available for all year models. In the ad it says its genuine, if someone buys it... Let me know how it works!!!
  11. Good looking! How do you like the NXT so far?
  12. If you can't hire one, steal one
  13. The best is to use soft weekend bags or something like that, not the normal hard scale suitcases. A good friend has a S2k en he puts his clothes in pillow covers, so he can arrange his stuff better in the boot. Maybe a die-hard way to put in a lot of stuff, good find though.....
  14. Good plans! Definitely make a picture of the 350z in on the rear as I'm interested how it'll look! Good luck
  15. Buy a LHD, problem solved! I never use the analog meter anyway, I like the digital one.
  16. Looks amazing! How often do you wax it with NXT?
  17. I have one of those devices attached to my fuel line which clones the atoms. So I only need half the fuel for the same distance...!!! Just kidding, I don't believe in all that scam...
  18. Sarnie, did you experience any troubles with braking while the pads were still cold? And how's the brake dust settling compared to stock?
  19. I would be very interested to see the outcome of the '350z' badge on centre of the rear. I like the fairlady Z badge too, maybe that would look good as well if placed in the centre....

    Clicking rear

They only offered me a yellow bicycle  Just kidding, I'll go to the dealer next week as the boot didn't open the first time on rare occasions. So probably not getting that one sorted as easily as the clicking. A well, I heard that you can fix the boot problem with a few pennies
  21. If you would go for higher temperature, ie blue or purple-like lights, you will see less. Even if the brightness is the same, the colour is darker and so is the amount of light picked up by your eyes. That's what I was told, not correct???

    Clicking rear

You guys are not alone... I just noticed the same sound the last few days. It comes especially at lower rpm in 2nd (downshifting to 2nd as well). I will go to the dealer and see if they can fix it asap as it bugs the hell out of me now.... Some people even asked me: 'whats that 'ticking' noise when you drive away'
  23. Was BP the only one which didn't want to sponsor the event? I'm sorry, but such huge differences between all of them (expect the 95) is kinda weird.
  24. All looking good. As mentioned, for £1250 you expect them to do at least the handbrake, gearknob and steering wheel as well. No matter what quality it is, the price isn't a bargain. I like the red Z with the ferrari-like interior!
  25. 1) I don't recognise the sound you're describing. Maybe others do? 2) For sure my car has a really high biting point, like many other (if not all) Z's Suspension wise, I wouldn't know, srry.
