  1. SOLD Just bought myself a new set of clubs today & am selling by beginers Wilson Prostaff Irons Set. These were bought by my father a few years ago who used them twice & gave up golf & have since sat in his loft! I have used them for the past 1 year & are in excellent condition, heads; shafts & grips excellent. The clubs are Wilson Prostaff with offset, oversized head, (very forgiving for off-centre hits) regular flex shaft, regular loft & length. Clubs are from Sand wedge to 3 Iron, 9 clubs plus driver. The 7-iron has been replaced with a newer Prostaff one last year. With this I am also giving a matching Wilson bag with cover & a new Dunlop 65xi 10.5 Titanium (budget) driver. This set is ideal for beginners, if you twist my arm I might throw in a putter also! £50 (plus whatever postage is or free collection) Ricky DRIVER ALSO INCLUDED, at home so no pic right now!
  2. Rear ones can be fitted without removing wheels by using a right angle drill/scredriver adapter.
  3. Sorry to hear As long as water not sucked into intake/engine or got into electrics should be ok
  4. PM livetothemax, he recently did the same IIRC ps nice headunit
  5. Welcome Just renewwed my import today with modifications @ £714 from Adrian Flux. 30yrs old, no convictions
  6. Following on from my recent service (& last years) from Dan Perkins Slough: see http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8322&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8461 I have spoken to their service manager who is willing to try a do the best deals on servicing for club members. Bearing in mind the discounts he can offer are based against other dealerships in and around central & greater London. -So the thing to do is phone around & get the best quote you can from any other Nissan dealership (London/Greater london). -Phone Dan Perkins Slough (Tel: 01753538 444), ask for Mark the servicing manager. To jog his memory in time to come please remind him: (Ricky Ahluwalia with 350z Sunset Jap Import from Watford, servicing 22/06/07!). It would be better to remind him of me as we discussed 350-uk member deals etc & it would be nice to let him now I have helped him for future deals for members & myself, as he is a bit of a mate also. -Anyway Mark has said that he can try his best to beat any price from London/Greater London Nissan dealership on servicing & other work. This is especially true if you will supply your own parts such as oil & pads/discs etc. This is because he can discount labour costs greatly but not much on Nissan parts prices, which are usually higher e.g pads & discs etc. Goodluck, I got quotes for P1 service from London dealerships at £260 cheapest from Watford, Mark did it for £160. Thats £100 off, not bad for London prices! Anyway if it does work out or doesn't please can you post your experience here for feedback & for others- thanks, Ricky
  7. Seemed like it was flora cooking oil in comparison! I think last service I was in a rush & only had the car & let Nissan put in their own stuff IIRC maybe some Castrol etc? Anyone got any ideas how lowering of clutch pedal has made gear change more notchy, all be it more precise though. (ps lowering clutch pedal has made for quicker clutch work & hence quicker gearchanges).
  8. Excellent work & DIY also
  9. Spray it yourself, buy a right angle dril extension bit & you dont even need to take the rear wheels off to fit them.
  10. Imo, with no kit etc then 19's. Though more important to have good offset & width of tyre.
  11. Let me check on Monaday how much Parcelforce will charge, if not much, its a deal ! Nice one Flirt
  12. Z4M is completely different kettle of fish compared to Z4 3.0. That would give the Zed a run for its money & I reckon the Z4 may come out on top. (ps Must stop using similies etc & write proper English!)
  13. Uprated parts can cost you less than OEM, thats true for brakes & probably clutches!
  14. After Nissan did my service yesterday & I gave them Motul 300v to put in, it got me thinking Anyway Val is right Motul smells almost like paint thinner or varnish but trying to get any smell from the engine oil cap area is difficult, strange that considering iv got a big hooter! So I got a bit of white paper & wiped a bit of oil from dipstick & wiped a bit of oil from Motul can: they were both a light shade of brown. Unusual as i was excpecting yellow/golden. So all seems ok, I also wiped a bit of Mobil 1 which I have & that was a completely different yellow golden colour. So its a light brown, transparentish colour.

  16. oops can someone (mod) plz move this to correct forum like general or performance! ta
  17. Had service done today & put in Motul 300v 5w 30w & what a difference it has made to the engine! Thanks Oilman Some of the improvment is probably purely becuase new oil compared to old, but still results are significantly better. I have used many different types of oils in various cars & never seen such a difference. The engine revs up quicker with no pause when you put your foot down, its instantaneous & seems to rev more freely. It revs up quicker & engine seems smoother. The only way I can describe it is a bit like when you hear a 350z with a lightweight flywheel rev up (obviously not to that extent, but that kind of difference). I am quite sure this is due to the oil, its the only thing apart from filter they did in a P1 service. Also fitted EBC redstuff brake pads, they are leaps & bounds ahead of std pads. Though not fully tested yet as not bedded in yet. They are slightly nosier than std pads but sounds kinda mean when you brake now (sounds like the Enterprise going into Warp speed in Star Trek!) Dan Perkins Slough who did a road test after fitting were very impressed with them & couldnt believe they were only £99 for a set! They said it was a lot better than std ones & stopped instantaneously, they were surprised how good they were. Thanks CS Also had headlights adjusted as were too low & they adjusted clutch which was biting too high. They did'nt tighten clutch but instead moved clutch pedal slightly lower down, so biting point is lower down & less pedal travel all over. This has helped a bit as biting point is lower & release is a lot less. I feel as if I can change gear quicker & more precisley. I dont know if this is related but gear change has become a bit firmer & notchier?? Is this to do with the clutch? Could the clutch not be engaging as fully as before? Anyway Dan Perkins Slough very good & only charged me an extra £30 to adjust headlights (actually took 30 mins) & clutch adjustment (actually took 30mins) So total was £160 for P1 service; £60 to fit all brake pads; £30 to adjust clutch & realign headlights. ps: I have discussed with their service manager a deal on servicing which I will post in a new topic.
  18. Based on what you guys have said I have gone back to Shell v power once again for a few fill ups & have changed my mind!! Ah well it takes an honest man to admit he was wrong! Shell V power is more suited to my zed than BP Ultimate. I wont go into whys etc as my opinions arent scientific, but definetley car feels more responsive now going back to Shell V power ps ignore the crap I wrote on pg1!!
