  4. Thanks for the confirmation. Does the PAC just connect to the speaker outputs from the head unit? Does anyone know anywhere else in the UK to get one. Sextons sadit they where sold out??
  5. Hi, would someone mind giving me a little advice on installing my new stereo? I have bought a Clarion MAX983HD sat nav, along with the interface for the steering controls. My problem is the bloke at Clarion said I will need a unit to reduce the signal from the unit as its too high to use with the Bose amp. I thought all I needed was the PAC ROEM but everyone seems to mention this boosts the signal?? So i'm a bit wary of buying it incase its the wrong thing. Also what wires do you connect the PAC too on the headunit? Many thanks for any help, its cost me a fortune for this and I dont want to bugger it up!!
  6. No need for apologies mate, you where here first!
  7. Hi Dave, what would the postage be. Would you split them? only after the cover. Of course thats if Maz does not take up the offer first.
  8. Thought I recognised that one!! Seen it a few times in the carpark at work, very nice indeed mate. I park near the turnstyles if i can, mines the black roadster. Give me a shout if you see me getting out/in it. You plan on adding anything to it maybe??
  9. Hi mate, sorry for the late reply. Dont need these anymore im afraid, thanks for the offer anyway. I as going to get some custom dials made but it was going to cost around £600 to get the screen made!!
  10. There will be 2 signals back to the combimeter, 1 analogue (resistance as mentioned earlier) this obviously moves the fuel pointer, and the other a digital signal which alters the dte display. The DTE display will vary when filled up to the top depending on how you have been driving before you pull in to the petrol station, as it uses the last values to calculate the new DTE. The fuel pointer will also vary sometimes from meter to meter, this will depend on any problems the machine was having during pressing of the pointer. The pointer angle is checked by cameras on the pressing machine, if someone altered the camera or the angle of the pointer press punch then variation will occur. Also variation can occur if the angle of the pointer is incorrect when assembled and the operator adjusts it by hand to get it too pass. On some models of combimeter you dont get an accurate dte until you go over 20kmh after fill up. Also (going on a bit now i know) the pointers on the 350z combimeter are moved by cross coils, and not stepper motors, so if the meter is left upside down for 20min or so then the silicone stats to run on the inside of the coils and this also makes the gauge less accurate.
  11. Defo agree with the orange, I want the same ones. I was asking Andrew at ESR just before xmas and he said they where special order for ESR and took up too 6 months to get them A group buy direct to Samco for orange hoses might get them but we could do with a contact from Andrew to help things. Just a thought!
  12. I wonder if anyone can help?? Im after the standard dials from a pre 2006 model, the oil pressure/battery/ and multifunction display dial too. May be getting some new dials made but need some originals to copy from so I dont need my car of the road for ages. Many thanks.
  13. Hi all, after a little advice! doe snayone know if the nozzles adjust angle on the headlight washer's? Ive got a Nismo V2 bumper and was thinking about fitting them. I see they are on a knuckle and look like they move but I cant get them to budge, just dont want to smash them with too much force. After searching I see it does'nt look like anyone has fitted these to a V2 bumper, but if anyone has please shout up. Thanks for your help!
  14. Hi SAFC99, ill keep an eye out for you in the car park!!! (where abouts do you work?) A colleague of mine emailed the local dealership and they would give exactly the same deal to suppliers and supplier's families as Nissan employees.
  15. Id virtually say that it is only the heatshield welds that have snapped, just pull the thing off, only reason for a heatshield down there is to stop the grass catching fire if you ever park on a field!!!
  16. Not wanting to side step on this post but does anyone actually believe what the mpg displays? Sometimes mine will dsiplay high 60's for a split second, then 20's then steady itself at mid 30's. If i drive with nothing turned on and cruising at 65 i get around 28mpg, if i cruise at around 75 i get around 33mpg?
  17. In my opinion never be afraid to walk away if the deal is not what you want, even if you love the car but thy wont come down. Start walking away and 9 times out of 10 they will come after you and change there stance on the deal. And try to get as many extras as possible - mats, air vent surrounds, door trims, luggage net, etc.
  18. Excellent Stuff, very pleased for him (and jealous too!) Suppose we could all say we should have waited but thats life all over I suppose!!! Chances are that even if he has it a year then trades it in he will get the same price as what he has just paid!!!
  19. No problem at all, someone will get a bargain!!! Just shows you how much profit they make on one though!!!
  20. There are hundreds of pathfinders/navaras just parked up on grass verges within Nissan, cant shift them!!! Would love one but still got the zed to pay off. Yeah you have to know someone who works for NMUK or a supplier, which I am, so im sure you can get a deal if you want one!!!
  21. According to the bulletin that was sent out its open till the end of this month and only to NMUK staff and suppliers, there are ways round that though as im told all you need is a clock number. Im pretty sure this will be an ongoing thing though!!! and good bargaining power. Also its only certain Evans Halshaw ealerships throughout the country. I have copied from the mail below. NEW CAR OFFERS In addition to NMUK employees, NMGB have now extended the opportunity to Nissan suppliers to purchase a range of new Nissan vehicles at significantly discounted prices. 22. Have a good one! You taking the Z or the better half?
  23. Deals we are getting within Nissan are on 350Z (top spec normally £32k can be got for £19), X-Trail, Pathfinder, Navara, and Murano all with about 45% off. If I didnt have my 350 to still pay off I would have got one of the above for my partner. They are also offering a deal where you pay around £2.5 deposit, £250 a month for 3 years, then either pay the remaining balance or just hand it back!!! No deals on Quashqui, Note, or Micra - yet!!! Its looking bleak!!
  24. Cant really add much to what everyone has said, im so sorry you will be closing! I can honestly say I have never had better service from anyone over the years of modding, especially the atmosphere in the workshop! A workshop any of us would dream of owning!! All the best to you and your Dad, I hope he is home for xmas.
