  1. Congratulations, and another roadster owner! Just keep the roof conditioned well so you get no issues with it later down the track.
  2. Easily the looks - otherwise why buy it! Several other things i wont bore you with that, but what done it for me was driving to the nurburghring in the summer, roof down, sun blazing, and it never missed a beat!
  3. Have to agree about the black paint - i hate it, and the fact it is a slight orange peel affect to hide inperfections in the bodywork!! 2. The seats should come to a stop before hitting the interior plastics when going back. 3. BOSE cd skipping, noise through speakers with just ignition on. 4. TERRIBLE DEALERS - WORSE EVER ENCOUNTERED! The fact you have to remove the bumper to change side lights. 5. Too big of a gap around every panel on the car. 6. Noisy clutch. 7. Poor interior plastics. eg - same heated seat switches as a micra 8. Handbrake. and finally my biggest annoying thing... 9. The fuel gauge - it is the worse thing going, never reads true and rises and falls by up to an eighth of a tank when ever it wants, and the gauge goes down when the dte goes up and vice versa!!! Still love it though!
  4. Totally agree, what a thing to happen, i know how you feel, had all my stereo setup stolen years ago. I agree with Martin though, the garage should pay for the custom install again, but I understand that when you do something yourself you feel different about it compared to something just bought - if that makes sense.
  5. There's a surprise!!! My warranty runs out in 2 weeks and i have skipping bose, start of clicking axle, and paint bubbling on both wiper arms, but im reluctant to go as i hate leaving my car with them as it comes back with more problems that at the start, then the shouting and arguing starts, and thats a whole other topic hahaha!!
  6. Hi, i got the purple one. I noticed a slight difference when starting, seemed easier somehow. Didnt seem as much of an effort to start. Nice engine bay by the way.
  7. Hya, found it around 8.30 in the pitch black. There is another fuse box behind the battery, under the plastic scuttle panel that touches the window. It looks like a blocks of flats, mine was covered in muck so could not see the fuse layout on the top. Its a pain to remove the cover. You have to remove the plastic panel that the battery cover clips onto. Even more of a nightmare to get back on!! What a relief when i found it - i nearly cried!! oh and there is a spare fuse in the drivers footwell.
  8. Hello, can anyone urgently help please???? All of my side lights have gone out, can anyone helpl locate the fuse? its not in the footwell or next to the battery. Its for a 55 plate roadster, cannot find anything on internet. Someone please reply im well sick!!! Thanks
  9. Also too many saxo's, corsa's, etc with it done. And mr MOT man would not like it as it blocks the reflectors. Your car looks good enough as it is.
  10. Very nice combination, the white reflectors in the bumper make a big difference.
  11. Hi Chris, ill check the part number for you tomorrow, the part is at work. I only got the hvac control panel that screws into the back of the gear stick surround. I work for the same company that makes them in Thailand and a work mate was over there visiting and managed to get me one, have tried contacting them for drawings etc but no replies. The older version is easier to take to bits as its screws and clips but the new one is soldered together, a complete different setup. I have not had the time to completely desolder it and dont want to wreck it. The middle buttons (a/c, rear demist) look like they might swap ok. I did not get any plastics to fit. I know what you all mean about new wiring etc, i supply the speedo console to Nissan, for the QuashQai facelift its exactly the same, the Note facelift a completely new design!!!!!
  12. Hi Chris, I got a hold of some heater controls from a facelift model, thought I could adapt them to fit. The mounting is different on the rear, the hole for the knobs to go through is smaller so would need opening up without spoiling the finish as you would see the edge, but after I thought of ideas to get round that I found the wiring is different on the controls. Although the plug that the ribbon cable goes into is exactly the same, once plugged in the fan is constantly on full and the controls do not work, only the middle buttons. I stopped there as I did not want it to look like a botch job! Hope this has helped, I was quite dissapointed. Wez

    Seating looms

Worse case you could easily fit the wiring and relays yourself if all you want is the heated seats, I fitted them to my last car, if you give me a month or 2 i may be able to get hold of the heated seat switches for you!!

I would also agree, there will defo be a harness there as it is needed for the seat belt warning circuit. Also on my car i changed the steering wheel for one with stereo functions and was very pleased to see the wiring in place. Guess you will know for sure when you have a look underneath. Hope your lucky
  15. Sounds like allot of standard exhausts fail for cracking, mine has not gone yet but one of the welds has been done 3 times around the pipe to back box! And it pains e to say its a tad embarassing as the company I work for makes them (In Japan). Thankfully the Nismo is made by someone else.
  16. HAHA! Yes lurking a little, wanted to find more time to post a proper hello! Again thanks for more welcome messages. Mods so far are quite little but the cost soon adds up, but got a couple of bargains along the way. My best bargain was a brand new orange steering wheel with the stereo and cruise controls on, got off ebay for £120 when they are several hundred to buy, really easy to change and low and behold the wiring was already in for the controls to the stereo. Other mods; S2000 aerial, z badge on cubby hole, alum. vent surrounds, mats in front and boot, cargo net, tinted windows, silver indicator bulbs, led side lights (not fitted yet), nismo CAI, purple Grounding Kit, Alu. oil cap, debadged Burger badge of rear, sure there is a few more but cant think at the mo.
  17. Thanks for the quick and warm replies!!! Ill get some pics up as soon as i can, will have to learn all the how 2's again!!! Used to be on the Hyundai Coupe forums for years, but will only post pics of that one when i get to know you all - as flaming will probabaly happen but still miss it!!! Hi Phil, Ill take you up on that thanks! Used to go to Tunstall College during my apprenticeship so know where you are, only live in Shiney Row! Ill be after some wheels in the very near future so will give you a call, I want the Volk GTC in 19 inch, steadying myself for that price!!!! Ive done a few little mods so far, ill write a brief list if anyone is interested and ones i want to do in the future! A supercharger was on the cards but think its time to pay debts and get a house instead!
  18. Hello to all! Have finally got the chance to put up a welcome post after being a member for a few months now. Ive had a 55 plate black convertable with the black and orange seats for a year now and still love it! Have quite a few plans for it including putting on the nismo v2 bodykit thats been in my room for 6 months Had a few problems along the way but managed to fix them myself as the local dealership ade things worse. I live near Sunderland in Houghton-le-Spring if anyone is near - i think I will have to get in touch with Phil for some things in the near future as he is very close which is handy. I hope to beable to contribute allot in the future to a great site for info. Thanks Wez
