  3. I perhaps may prefer the yellow but just reluctant as my zed is yellow. I love the orange just as much and the one I have been looking at has the 06 Callisto wheels (£5k!!) and Tubi zorst (£2.5k!!!) but is manual! I think Im gonna struggle to find the exact spec I want without going waay over budget WHy do you prefer the E-Gear over the manual? First off the egear is cool and i'm a sucker for gadgets like that Secondly the egear applies hardly any strain on the clutch which is the weakpoint of the Gallardo. I have been reading up over the last few days and there are a lot of horror stories about of people having to pay £4k for a new clutch to be fitted and it then going again 300 (yes 300) miles later I know the BMW M6 SMG limits the power some how to ensure clutches don't burn out. They have just bought out an M6 manual and the first gear apparently is noticeable restricted. Sounds like the germans have held the manual back until it is product tested and reliable. The thing to remember though is 4 wheel drive means great traction so lots of stress on the drive train. A 2 wheel drive car will wheel spin. £4k for a clutch though is daft. I've got an Alcon Paddle Race clutch in the Cossie. Cost about £400 and is rated over 500 bhp. So far it's took loads of pounding on the track. You may find companies like AP and Alcon do a replacement for Lambo's, especially if they are raced. However, I agree though that the standard clutch should be up to the job and rated to handle more than the standard power. Agred about the clutch mate. At the money the Gallardo costs you'd expect it to be fit foe purchase. The thing is I've read losts of zed owners moaning about their clutches going. Someone on here paid £1k for the stealer to fit it. Those people are a minority of zed owners and I've never had any trouble with mine. I'm hoping the same principle applies to the lambo @D4V3GT4 : Wrong number mate Got the right one off google though and and have just been quoted £3062 from them Nice one mate, I owe you a drink for that

I never understand why this sort of thing happens, i mean you are paying a huge amount of money, only for it to be a bit unreliable. WHY? Eitherway, its pretty cool and on that alone i would go down the egear route. The only car i wil not get something like that on is an Aston. Given the choice I would have the manual everyday but I don't want to nanny my car also so will go for the egear. Or once I get bored of waiting just buy the first thing that comes along

I think Im gonna struggle to find the exact spec I want without going waay over budget WHy do you prefer the E-Gear over the manual? Cuz he's lazy. Is the e-gear a proper SMG with clutches as Ferrari's and Maser's. When I was considering a Maser, I enquired about servicing and this was the most expensive thing. Clutches wear out in an average of 15k miles depending on how you drive and cost £1.5k to change. I would expect a Lambo to potentially be more expensive and wear the clucthes faster... Yep its almost the same as Ferrari's F1 system. The lambo clutch is supposed to last 10-20k depending on driving style but there are some out there that have at less than 2k
  6. Cheers for that, I will give them a call asap. Just had the best quote yet for £3700 from A-plan, which is getting better

  17. I bought a set a drilled Brembo discs from opie oils on here for £259. When I bought them nobody in the uk had any zed discs whatsoever apart from stealers! Apparantly EBC had them on back order and it was a 12 week wait
  18. I have had the OE, redstuff and the ferodo's OE = total rubbish but last forever. Redstuff & Ferodo are similar performance wise in that they are a zillion times better than OE. Both are good from cold and inspire a bit more confidence than the OE ones. The Ferodo's are currently covering my volks in loads a brake dust which is doing my head in The Ferodo's edge it performance wise in my opinion but are not worth the added cost imo. Next time I'll be buying Redstuffs* *If there is a next time
  19. Was that when he had to tell you he like girls not boys and to stop hiding in his garden at night?
