She hasnt worn well I'm afraid , saw her on TV a few months back God I loved that girl Yeah I know Tim its a damn shame isn't it? Still she must be crackin on a bit by now, best to remember her as she was I think - hmmmppphhh I think I may just have had an accident !!! loved it when she was working on her Jeep and she got all oily Oh yeah!!!! Or just wandering around in general.......

I'm pretty sure mine was for 12mnths too. Personnally I wouldn't bother with it, haven't before now I just can't justify the cost to be honest.

Release bearing definately mate, get it done under warranty (a known issue) I've had mine done and I'd recommend you do the same far better than sorting it yourself!!

(and yes it is a serious question) The General Lee was an absolute legend - the car of the Dukes of Hazzard, with the horn that became famous/chavvy in the late seventies/early eighties. A big orange Dodge Charger with welded up doors, a big roll cage, the stars & stripes on the roof and a shedload of sand in the boot so it didn't nosedive when doing jumps. One of the greatest TV programmes on ever, my time used to be spent in front of that or the A-Team. Later Nightrider, Airwolf and Streethawk awww happy days!!!

Alright Matt!! Sounds like crap to me can't see that they can pass off corrosion by saying its brake dust. Likewise think they've fobbed you off with the creak, imo its 1 of 2 things - either the old clicking CV joints or the rear strut bar (more likely if its a creak rather than a click), if its the strut you'll need to take off the plastics and pack it out with something, pretty sure Val has done a guide to this.

Martyn!! Opinions on the BOSE vary and I suspect a lot of that is down to personal experience. From my point of view the system is good, the sub kicks well and overall its a decent sound. I especially like the fact that I haven't got to mess around with the interior to try to shoehorn other things in there like I probably would have if I go down the route of aftermarket. Plus I think theres a certain bit more security with having the standard fit unit in there - less likely to get a brick through the window I think. If you're really into your quality sound then I think you will find the BOSE setup lacking but unless you're used to very high quality I think it will fit the bill fine. Again, afaik the ESP (traction) is standard regardless. Other toys you get with JDM, again afaik, its a couple of annoying beeps (like when you put it in reverse) but a nice touch is dipping wing mirrors when reverse is selected - you don't get this on UK. The thing is, to be honest if that comment wasn't being used as an excuse then I could understand it. I mean, if you were expected to drive at speeds well over a ton in a Vectra then you would want to know how (bad) its going to feel But if thats the case that these "advanced drivers" need this, then the police should hire private land for that purpose..... I mean, who's to say that at this time, he doesn't have a blowout, and skids and hits the one car thats on the motorway (full of teenagers) coming back from somewhere........ Its double bloody standards! Quite right mate. Whilst we're getting potless due to excess taxation on fuel and everything else we also have to spend our cash on track days/handling days/high speed bowls or trips to Germany, whereas if you live among the ranks of our wonderful traffic police you are above the law and can do what the hell you like oh what a brilliant system......

Its clear to me now what I need to do - take an advanced driver test, go down the motorway at 160mph at 3am and then tell the judge that I was familarising myself with my vehicle I can then refer them to precedent (as long as I'd "suffered enough" by it being dragged through the courts for 2&1/2yrs). Although having thought about it what are my chances of having the thing dragged out for 2&1/2yrs???!!! What a complete joke the law in this country can be. Ah well at least it hasn't been us tax payers paying for it all, oh no hang on a minute it, it is isn't it?? oh bugger.......
