The thing is, to be honest if that comment wasn't being used as an excuse then I could understand it. I mean, if you were expected to drive at speeds well over a ton in a Vectra then you would want to know how (bad) its going to feel But if thats the case that these "advanced drivers" need this, then the police should hire private land for that purpose..... I mean, who's to say that at this time, he doesn't have a blowout, and skids and hits the one car thats on the motorway (full of teenagers) coming back from somewhere........ Its double bloody standards! Quite right mate. Whilst we're getting potless due to excess taxation on fuel and everything else we also have to spend our cash on track days/handling days/high speed bowls or trips to Germany, whereas if you live among the ranks of our wonderful traffic police you are above the law and can do what the hell you like oh what a brilliant system......

Its clear to me now what I need to do - take an advanced driver test, go down the motorway at 160mph at 3am and then tell the judge that I was familarising myself with my vehicle I can then refer them to precedent (as long as I'd "suffered enough" by it being dragged through the courts for 2&1/2yrs). Although having thought about it what are my chances of having the thing dragged out for 2&1/2yrs???!!! What a complete joke the law in this country can be. Ah well at least it hasn't been us tax payers paying for it all, oh no hang on a minute it, it is isn't it?? oh bugger.......

Hi mate, yep I've done it. No rubs or scratches either but be careful!! 1 in the boot, 1 in between the strut bar and the rear speakers, 2 on front seat. If you position them right you can just close the door. You won't get em in if they're already on the rims though.

If you've got a mic on the dash by the steering wheel it sounds very much like an aftermarket one. My mic is in the roof by the lights (although don't know if JDM is the same, I'd imagine so). I've got a mate with an A3 thats got a Nokia system which has been installed afterwards and from what you describe it sounds very similar. Your best bet imo is to get the car and then see if theres a member close to you who you could meet up with and put em side by side. I would do mate but afraid its a bit of a trek for me

Your best bet is to get a Nissan bluetooth adaptor which you can get through either MrF (MJP) or Holdcroft - both traders and both registered users on here. Absolutely right mate I quite agree, a 430 isn't a poor mans Enzo and I'm damn sure that nobody walks past it saying it either - which is not something you can say with either a Boxster or a Cayman, I guess its probably cos they both look similar to a 911.

Quite right Mike, absolutely awesome sight. I especially liked the Chinese driver showboating and getting it virtually completely sideways on each side for about 150yrds. The smell of the rubber and fuel, but most of all the sound - like nothing else. There were obviously some people putting their fingers in their ears but all I could do was grin from ear to ear like a big kid from when the first one went past me, can't even describe it, but I nearly made a mess in my pants.

Also presumably this is going to seriously effect prices? Think we need to get a ballpark idea of numbers that are interested (across mates/work mates etc) and then decide if we're gonna do it. If the figure is massively different to what has been mentioned before it could mean the difference between a yes/no for all involved. From my point of view Essex is a long trek and I'd be staying somewhere the night before. If its then £100+ or more for the day I may have to think again. Numbers wise from my end I'm confident that I can bring at least 2 drivers with me (poss more, but I'm looking at a number I know I can defintately get)
