  1. As you said the numbers don't lie, those with good taste pick lovely lovely Azure
  2. For a reason...... The numbers don't lie my friend Quite right, exactly my point - there's only 2 people around that want that!!! And one of them decided against it before he picked it up maybe he only ordered it as a joke
  3. Good question mate, but IMO as Spill has already pointed out it was a cost saving exercise by Nissan and as lomoto has said they sell the kits as an extra - so put 2 & 2 together and its to make the fitting of Nissan's aftermarket kits a nice easy job & therefore a better selling item.
  4. Guys, I've only just had time to read this thread as not been online much recently but I'm in awe of both of your efforts , the pics you've already posted are a reflection of what must be an incredible amount of time - fair play to you both. I'm very interested to see how this pans out. My money's on Ming
  5. You're not actually messing with the wiring, all you're doing is adding some wires none of which actually mate up to the loom. In addition, you're using existing mounting points which are not currently being used. The only actual interference with existing wiring is to connect 1 wire to the factory earth point and another to the batter neg. I've got no concerns about it invalidating my warranty
  6. My blue's well peppered too, don't think its just the blue either mate. Seems to be that everyone is complaining about the chips regardless of colour, your X-Trail sits far higher though so probably explains why you haven't really experienced many.
  7. Welcome Rueben, good on ya you won't regret it. No, I don't think its sad to come up with a playlist - took me ages to decide what CD to take & play first for when I picked her up
  8. Yep, just send a PM to Spill and he'll sort it
  9. Good to hear mate, must be going over for tulips then???? Not done anything to her mate, 'cept for a grounding kit. Keep thinking I will, but maybe wait for the next one I think! What about your beauty?
  10. I'd heard for murdering whores!!!! Good to see you around again mate hows the business?
  11. Mine was obviously badly earthed cos the difference is massive, nice one to you Pete
  12. I think the more power/better MPG may be a perceived benefit as its smoother. I've certainly got no better MPG.
  13. To put it simply its a wiring kit - theres 6 wires which you connect to different parts of the engine & battery. Like I said above, really simple & makes a massive difference plus only 60quid!!!! EDIT - sorry forgot to add that it makes the earthing of the car MUCH MUCH better, the theory is that cos of this the ECU can see a cleaner signal and perform better.
  14. I hadn't noticed the colour coded door handles last time tho - urrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!
  15. Last week I finally got round to ordering the much talked about Pete Spill Grounding Kit. To be honest I was a bit skeptical that it would have that much difference to the car, even though there's been some great feedback on here from different people. When I opened the pack that had arrived (very promptly) from Pete I was even less convinced, I mean its just a bunch of wires how can it make that much of a difference? Anyway, I cracked on and got it done in just under an hour but this was also while being on the phone for most of it so its well doable in under an hour. I must confess that this was down to the easiest and most understandable instructions I've ever seen All fitted nice & neatly and nothing difficult about the job at all. I've had her for just under 18months now and I couldn't believe the difference as soon as I fired her up - straight away I could hear the difference, she was idling much much smoother. But it didn't stop there, went out for a short blat and the kit has really ironed out everything right through the rev range. Also I used to have a bit of a lurch (almost like a slight bog down) when I'd changed from 1st to 2nd (and no it wasn't my driving, it happened to everyone who drove the car) which has now gone completely. All in all absolutely fantastic, I can't believe what a difference its made to the car, anyone that hasn't got one get one now!!!
  16. Yeah I haven't just that with going away soon, gotta time it right so that with the odd drive out we are having, that I don't go majorly over the mileage alloted and that I can arrange a suitable day! Do we know when he is back? Soz mate I don't, didn't know he was going. Him and Sarnie are very close ( ) maybe he knows
  17. I've been ringing around 12 different Nissan dealers today ........ god, you want to hear some of the quotes of the dealers are coming out with and the differences in attitude and helpfulness on the phone is unreal! Anyway, once I have completed, I'll let you all know my findings..... Jacko, don't forget 2 get Liams Z to get a quote when he's back off his hols - his old man works at a local dealer
  18. Soz mate I aint accepting that you're not a mod
  19. janoof, good to have you around
  20. Me too mate, me too...... nice area but crappy postcode means you get tarred with some other not so nice brush! Bang on, ah well could be worse I suppose
  21. Ming I'm obviously not a mod but I couldn't see any prob with doing a guide - I'm sure that any addition like that would only be appreciated by all. Apologies if I'm stepping on toes here mods, I won't be offended if I've said the wrong thing and you've got to slap me into order!!!
