Self-employed since 2001 - best move I ever made having worked for local planning authorities from (well we won't go back that far ) I limit my income to the VAT threshold to avoid another layer of bureaucracy, having suffered the management/training/accounting/re-inventing-the-wheels courses that drove to me distraction prior to 2001 and meant I bearly had any time to do what was I was trained for. House and cars paid for and I am now thoroughly enjoying working as much as I want - albeit that mostly means I'm in the office 7 days a week buts that more to do with my conscience in making sure my customers get value for money. Yes, I enjoy the way I work now although it can 'heavy' at times but I am part of a network of similar ex- council professionals so we can bounce things off one-another.

Do you have a sicker in the rear window - my other car's a blue Micra but the ZED looks good - just like my previous 2004 one

You mention about not getting a ZED before 25/5 - prices might be going back up then You are right to be concerned about grounding the car - see if you can get a test drive and take it home to check if your concern is founded - better that you find out up front then be really pi$$ed off if you buy and then have to leave it on the road. Or maybe a local member on here might be prepared to check it out for you - I would, but Bristol is a long way from Epsom just to scrape my bottom

I use the the black drink bottles (with the push down cap) that are made for bicycle holders and fit the MY06+ door bottle holders a treat. As I am on a diet (Mrs Ebized thinks its for her and the quacks benefit but for me I'd noticed the weight was affecting the car's performance ) so no food in the car
