Aaah, the 1.8 S40 - great car as a battlewagon, comfortable, safe, economical, on stilts...... Stick it on eBay mate - people are looking for good nick cheap cars at the moment, and a 1.8 will be attractive as it's economical.

You need to take a couple of hours out to do it properly if you're not a mechanic or done it before. Take time with each bit and it should fit fine. Plenty have so far. I take it you slackened the strut brace and removed it, and cleared the area ready? My duct is very close to the filter but pics show it with the duct and plenty of space. You might have to take the bumper off to remove it.

There will be one somewhere in the aircon system for the recirculator. No idea where or how you'd get to it, but the Comma aircon cleaner should do it.

Looking at that bud, you're right. You can see it when they are side by side. Might be worth sending that to American Industries to get them to make up a MY08 one.....

H5 - where did you get the american industries fascia from? I can't track one down on-line except from the US. Don't mind ordering from there, just want to know if I can get one closer to home!! Bought in from the US.
