  1. It doesn't matter how it's done. If it's in the rules of the game, it's a tactic and it shows balls and skill to use it. Fair play to them. They will be relegated next season though.

You correcting the swirls by hand mate? Thats gonna be back breaking! I've just bought a new Kestrel DA polished and some PB SSR to try on mine. Will let you know how I get on correcting me swirlies I don't have a double garage, but enough space to get round the car - just! I am doing them by hand, yep. It's not exactly bad and so far Poorboys SSR1 has been all I've needed to use. It will be tiring yep, which is why I'm taking my time doing it. I still don't trust myself with a PC..... Be good to see your results. If you want a donor car to test on, the Volvo is here waiting!

Yep, full detail. Washed it, stripped it, clayed it, washed it, and so far I have tested some new stuff on one half of the bonnet. Got some new Einszett stuff, and more Jetseal. Also trying Collinite hard wax with a view to building layers of it up ready for show season, with a bit of P21S (R222) just before a show. Am trying to correct minor scratches and swirls on the way too, hence me taking my time on it!
  4. +1 - and be very surprised if F1's were cheaper than other brands too.
  5. Colour wars..... Welcome to the club There are a couple of insurance providers on here as traders, give them a go.
  6. trace it back to the pump itself, and see if there are any creases / nicks in the tube. You blowing is likely to be stronger than the pump. Are you sure the pump is working? Disconnect the headlamp one and listen for the noise.

Thanks Rob,what are you having done? Nothing substantial mate, just working on each panel at a time from a detailing point of view, will probably take some of the interior out as well and so a full job on that too. New bits will probably be brakes over the winter, just need to look at when I'll have time to do the work. Small chance of a new exhaust / rear end but not sure yet.

Looking good Wayne. Mine is in the garage having the work done over a much longer and lazier period of time!
  9. I think it's one of those that will look awesome in the flesh. I think it's a much more classically styled car - quite like it actually...
  10. Welcome to the club Only advice - keep the TCS on, take it easy
  11. +1 - although some don't look directional, they are eg. Yoko A539....

  13. Glass's guide will be the most accurate, but is limited to the trade. If you have a specific ask, I can get the information.
  14. Just looks a mess to me....... The engine is part of the Zed's character, not old school technology from another maufacturer IMO.
  15. I'll come across and say hi Phil. Anyone else heading from Wokingham way?
  16. Assuming the car is in a fit state, I will be there.....
  17. Definitely up for something local. I am in Wokingham so somewhere near there is great. Three Frogs does a pub quiz on Wednesday nights....
  18. With W7's Mark, if they are anywhere in the car focussing on the road will be a problem. Bumpy road feeling doesn't begin to describe it....!
  19. That will be the RCA level output. A very valid point, but the DAC, sound files / recording etc. will also have a big impact. Finish looks good.
  20. Agreed mate, but each powered component will introduce more noise into a system, that was my point. Both sets of speakers are awesome bits of kit, and are real audiophile stuff. I'd ditch the PC and pop in an Alpine F1. With £3k on front speakers, they will pick up EVERY bit of detail in the signal. So if it's not clean, it'll get amplified and heard.
