  1. You can just use a standard 1" (I think) grommit and it fills it perfectly. Should be able to pick one up from Halfords, Motor World, Motor Factors etc for a matter of pence. Ran mine like that for a year or so before getting it smoothed out. Sorry to hear about the problems with the car wash. Had a friend in a similar situation but at Tesco's and they fully compensated him but did take some time and a few letters.
  2. You will really struggle to fit a double din unit in the cubby as there isn't enough room at the back and there is no way to enlarge it. You could fit a standard screen in there though, should take a 7" screen
  3. Has been brought up before, battery also weighs a lot
  4. Welcome to the forum, good choice in your new car and the CTR does sound the part. Not far from you either, i'm just on the outskirts of Crawley
  5. Have got 4 18" tyres in my Z before, 2 on the front seat, one under the strut bar and the other between the back of the seats and the gloxe boxes.
  6. Cheers Rob, wouldn't mind having a gander at yours sometime as well as you are only down the road from me

    New BMW Z4

Very impressive car. Believe they are releasing a 3.0 Twin Turbo Straight Six as well......serious weapon!!
  8. Impressive!! I did have the thought that he was crawling along and they had tilted the camera but then I am a sceptic!
  9. The LSD kit is the only way to go imho. It took me two days to fit the kit but I would recommend getting a professional bodyshop to install them as some bits can be a little fiddly. Imho again, they really do suit the 350, especially with the frameless doors and are stable in wind as well if tack welded on. As for Jays ones, he had a different design of hinge system to the LSD ones and he did suffer from droopage (enter comments here) but on the new LSD kits, I have not experienced anything like that and once setup for height etc have been perfect with no shift. The other advantage to the LSD kits is that you can still open the door 3/4 of the way like a standard door and then raise them meaning you don't have to always use them to get in/out of the car. I am a dealer for the LSD doors so if you are interested, drop me a PM and I will sort you out a price for them.

    Tyre choice

As a first step, I would check your pressures and get a geo setup to check that everything is ok on that side of things.

    New mod!

It's a good excuse to ban Stew
  15. Its been a reps car and looks like the back seats have never been sat in. There are a few niggles like the air con is not working and i've had to put a new tyre on the spare wheel, also the clutch biting point is very very high. Other than that all is ok Dare I say, a used car is never going to be perfect. My friend bought a similar spec one about 6 months back and hasn't had a moments trouble with it.
  16. Good price with that spec mate

  21. Is it def. from the gearbox or just the gearbox region?? Malfunctioning cats can make that kind of noise.
  22. A friend of mine was involved in an accident recently (he was found to be not at fault) At the time of the accident, he was arrested and taken to the Police Station and his car was put onto a low loader and taken away. They had it for approximatly 2 weeks and once the investigation was dropped and he was totally cleared, he was give his keys back with not a penny to pay. I would say that they are well out of line with the majority if not all of the charges they are attempting to land on you. Definatley worth a call to CAB to get their point of view. Good luck with it
  23. Ah yeah just re-read its the seats that slide and tilt, not the roof!!!!!!!!! Andy - I live in Rayliegh, Essex mate Chris We hold meets at Bluewater sometimes so feel free to pop down to our next one, even if you are still thinking of getting one at that point

    20"s on a Z

The Z will swallow 20's no problem at all. I am on my 3rd set of 20's now and not had a problem with any of them. The latest ones are an et20 all round and sit very nicely in the standard arches running 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear on an 8.5 & a 10J. My Z hasn't been lowered....yet. This was the first set...FOX RS8's Second set were the Boss Penta's...the same as Stuey's
