I'd love a lime green one Its a £5k option from the factory Will be boring old yellow for me if I have one. Strangely I'm not keen on the yellow, I think its because the majority of the early cars were black and yellow. A lot of those for prospectors cars. I'd love one like this though: What do you reckon on the new styling, mate? Personally, I prefer the old lights, front and rear.

Agreed but others have called for it.

Whether Simon was misled by Geoff when he bought it I don't know but as you can see above Geoff told others that he paid £450 for it when it was new 3 years ago. The only reason this rang a bell was that Geoff posted up this price on the old forum at the time and as I was only working a stone's throw away at the time I was going to meet him when they installed it. I was very interested in it because it was £450. Had it been £1k I wouldn't have even considered it. Now, if I honestly believed that this exhaust was £1k new and Simon wanted to sell it thirdhand, three years on I would have thought to myself that it was on the pricey side but not said anything. I agree that the fact that he bought it for a knockdown price shouldn't mean he can't advertise for more. What got my goat is that someone unsuspecting could end up paying £500 for an exhaust that cost £450 new 3 years ago. What Simon sells it for is his business but prospective buyers should know what it cost so that they can make an informed decision. Provided the thread isn't edited they will do and that is the end of it.

It cost £450 new and is almost 3 years old. I'm surprised that you would be happy with someone trying to overcharge OC members, Mark.
  5. Will you throw in one of your shirts, Tim?

Maybe has been 'removed' Actually, I'm wrong about that as I've just found the thread where he sold it to Simon for £350 in early 2006. Apparently, its now worth £500!

Strangely, if you do a search over there all the posts from when Geoff sold his exhaust have disappeared....

  9. Excellent work, mate - looks a beauty! At 20, driving that, you should be beating the birds off with a sh1tty stick.

Answered my own question with a simple search! £450 This exhaust is now being sold at over 2 years old for £500.

OK, this is one for those that remember the old site. IIRC there was a bloke called Geoff who got a custom exhaust from Blueflame in Skelmersdale. I recall being very interested as it was significantly cheaper than a Nismo and the place was just down the road from me. He's long since chopped his Zed in for an Evo and what I think is his old exhaust has just come up for sale. Can anyone remember (and I know I'm asking a lot) how much it cost new?

Great car or not that is absolutely ludicrous!
  14. Just checked that out. He's got a fine collection of parts in his garage and he's using Tdi for the build. Guess he won't be letting them do a blog on here...

I don't know why Nissan are being such cocks about it. They'll still sell more than they can make.
  16. Aye, twin bonnet scoops but nothing to feed but a K&N... Also, hasn't he missed the inside of the exhaust tips.
  17. ...unless you get an oil drinker! You should be aware that some people with 296 bhp engines (the "Rev Up" engine) have had excessive oil consumption problems. There have been a couple of engine's replaced.
  18. Some O7s have the new engine. Look for the bonnet bulge.
