  1. A pretty pointless post if you aren't going to share with us how you've got it.
  2. These cars are worth only what someone will pay for them. You're lucky you can afford to keep hold of yours Dave but my money would be on it being another 25 years before it starts going up in value.
  3. New tyres might well be the answer but i just think it sounds strange. When you say the traction control is kicking in what are you doing at the time? driving slowly and it just kicks in regardless or are you giving it the beans where the front tyres may be on the limit of loosing grip? Not sure where the sensors are but each wheel will be monitored somewhere Agree its a bit odd but sounds like he needs new fronts anyway and he might as well try this before some stealer pulls his pants down.
  4. I still think that's too expensive, custard paint and GT4 badge or not.

    New Car !!

Looks spot on Tim. I've fancied one of these for a bit. That interior's a bit of a pimp palace though... Fancy spilling how much you paid for it? Now you can drive around pretending to be Bobby Ewing!
  6. Open a Photobucket account (its free) and paste the links. Looks a good event.
  7. Split topic to keep John's thread tidy.
  8. Were the new tyres the same make and size as the ones they replaced? How worn are the fronts?
  9. How many times have you posted that pic this week, Dave!
  10. I agree. Like everything else on this car it looks like a messy, dog's dinner of a solution.
  11. Hi and welcome, Milly. Nice collection of motors. (Whats a T4? )
  12. A fantastic effort by Martin once again and I'm sure it will be great calendar. I would have preferred to have seen less of Adam's work in there (sorry, no offence mate ) but I was also happy to let the members decide. That is what has happened, end of. The fact that some members are disgruntled is regrettable but it doesn't stop the process being a fair, legitimate and most of all a democratic one. Now what about that fat bird that got voted off X-Factor.....

    Tints

How easy is it to take tints off if you get pulled by the rozzers?
  14. Sounds promising......he's even updated his sig to make room for a third zed Well it was that or hara-kiri I suppose...

    Sleeper?

Wot he said Are you looking for a hatch or bigger? I'd say S4 all the way (but be prepared to change the chrome mirrors), or maybe an E39 535/540i if you want some oversteer. No one does understated like Audi. S3, R32 or your suggested Clio's for hatches, although the MkV GTi may be more understated. From Audi the 3.2 A3 Quattro would fit the bill, preferably with DSG. http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... x_mileage= = By the way, I think the Q car tags originates from war ships disguised as local fishing boats to avoid attention That A3's a damned good sleeper. It looks poverty spec almost from oustide. The fact that its a local car is appreciated too.
  16. Just to go against the crowd, I've had these and although undoubtedly better than the regular blades I was less than conviced that they justified the additional outlay. IMHO of course. And before anyone suggests it, I did follow the correct procedure when fitting!

    Sleeper?

Now this is stealth but a bit over budget... http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... x_mileage=
  18. Do you want me to check it out for you? Cheers mate. Let me look at the finances over the weekend and I'll let you know.
  19. Thought the beaver comment at the end was great.

    Sleeper?

I'm talking about a new Mk5 R32 which I can lease cheaply. The Mk4 was very obviously a hot hatch but the 5 just seems to have the chrome grille (like a Jetta) and the twin exhausts to make it stand out. A secondhand ST170's probably worth a look.
