  1. To me that pic just shows how timeless the 350 is and how unresolved the the 370 is.
  2. That's a sensible suggestion as always, Colin. Spamming 20 posts isn't.
  3. I imagine there'll be different models over in the US again - Touring, Track etc. and it may be fitted to only some.
  4. Good man. May see you on the Wales run to Digsy I'm working on it, pal!
  5. Which supercharger kit? 450bhp on standard internals? and nearly 1.5 secs off the 0-60 time? I'm not convinced they used to install the vortech one, I don't know if its still the same now I thought they were doing Stillen rather than Vortech, with "that" bonnet.., http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarr ... _350z.html They did briefly talk about doing Novidem which would have interested me but when I actually asked they were still peddling the Stillen kit.
  6. , bit of a drive buddy, but thanks for the offer Kent, not to far at all shame ya not in the Zed ............ PM Dragun who has Zedrush's old car - he lives near you.
  7. Identification plate (one of the last pics in the link) seems to confirm 19" and all other info I have seen seems to suggest that will be standard fit Autocar said different this week and that 19" will be an option. Judging by the conflicting info around the UK GTR specs, we may not know the truth until the first cars land!
  8. Great thread that but depressing reading for roadster owners. The two that didn't sell looked nice...
  9. It's going to look terrible on standard 18"s. I think if you painted the lower part of the front bumper, inside the recess it would look a lot better.
  10. Locking this because its going nowhere.
  11. We can see all the posts made by your user name from your profile and the first few were made by your dad, Simon. To be frank, this is now getting pretty boring and if you find us so "unfriendly" here please don't feel obliged to post.
  12. Yes, back and mid will be the same.
  13. Provided the car is up to scratch that's a great price.
  14. anyone else thinks this looks good? Yeh, brilliant.... If you can keep up with the running costs! +1 The fact that they want £4k to prepare and warranty it speaks volumes.
  15. Of the 2 the JP visage looks the better buy esp with the engine work and the Volks. Over priced a little... All this talk of what you can get for a lot less and cars being over valued etc is quite damaging for us owners... If you drive the costs down the cars will continue to depriciate... And they wont come back up, the depreciation will just slow a little... I just hope those that keep saying its a buyers market and how much cheaper you can get a car for dont have to sell any time soon or you will have wished that all this talk of buying cheaper or thats to expensive will be hitting you in the pocket.... I know its all about the market and cars depriciate but as there are only a few of these cars on the road wouldnt it be better to keep the prices higher? Also from one of the other posts... the Blue UK car with 12k on it looks a veritable bargain! Whilst I understand what you are trying to say, there are 435 Zeds currently for sale on Autotrader and I don't think that a few comments over here or the other side will have any effect of the market as a whole. Also anyone who thinks that Zed prices would actually come back up is kidding themselves. The best owners can hope for is a slow down in depreciation or even a holding steady and TBH I don't see that coming soon.
  16. This was pretty much the same thread. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... il&start=0
  17. Way overpriced. That first one seems to have been on PH for ever.
  18. I'm afarid I can't see the Focus RS being up there with the great FWD cars like the FD2 etc. Its bound to have masses of torque that without electronic intervention will corrupt the steering. Honda's highly strung but low-torque engines suit a FWD application.
  19. Hi Ab350z. Mine was a 1999 on the "T" z3mcoupe 321bhp variant.. i had it nearly 3 years and did 60k miles in it. The Vanos was a known issue and my dealer dealt with it under warranty... the vanos unit is manufactured by rolls royce and is rather expensive... i can;t even guess how much but other owners used to state some scary at the time numbers none of whcih i can remember !!! The Vanos issue goes away in the 325bhp variants which were MY 2000 + 2001 from memory although i saw 52 plate examples around the patch. Issues with the car to watch for - Gearbox... Gearbox.... Gearbox.. (A BMW weakness) again look for crashy synchro's in 1 -2 and 2 - 3 when cold. Noisy Diffs - Have been mentioned, i never had the issue Missed service intervals - 6k interval and they need it.. every second or third service the car would get a cold tune and i vageuly remember having cylinder head bolts replaced.... Thrashed ones - They stand up pretty well to being tortured, mine attended probably 10 track days in the three years i owned it and some pretty elongated spells on the autobahns... Brakes cost fortunes.... floating disks .... expensive..... Interior - drivers seat rails used to fail, check full seat movement... a/c could be an issue.. Also brake fluid reservior was hidden under the inlet manifold... nice and easy to check Ownership - Yep no traction on the 321's .. which is a little hard to get used to.. massive lift off oversteer but if you were in the right gear you could snap back to mild understeer on the throttle. The 325's had traction and to be honest it ruined the driveability in my eyes... or had i got used to it a little too much !!! Best brakes on a car i had ever driven up untill the Z4mcoupe... it was like you'd hot a wall when you pulled up from high speeds.. they stop so effortlessly and don't fade out... Oil - they love it... i was going through probably 3 lires per 6k miles.. spoke to BM and they just said that's the way these cars are.. that was backed up by other owners. The exhaust note as standard on the m3coupe was so good.. it had a shorter exhaust than the m3 hence why they couldn't get the full 343bhp from that unit in a Z3... Handling was very neutral, very very easy to drive even without traction in the dry.. in the wet a totally different bordering on evil attempted murderer... not easy in the wet but once you were used to it constantly wanting to wag it's tail in straight lines in the rain you adjusted your driving... it had a very helpful LSD !! As for speed... it was fabulous fun to goad 911's and subaru's with.. you could run up to 115 in 3rd and it was sooo flexible.. Speed limiter at 155 was easy to get around apparently and derestricted i heard tales of 170 - 175 .. never seen that myself but my z4mcoupe ran at 185 indicated, 175 by satnav so sounds feasible. I had 3 years trouble free motoring... but at a staggering cost - 11 services at a total cost of 5k (every 6k on 98-99 321's but i think they changed the 325's to 12k or 16k ??) 4 sets of pirelli tyres at a total cost of 4400 16mpg over the cars life (i was quite a bit more throttle happy back then !) 16k in depreciation I would buy another one tomorrow... would have to have full BM service history and if a 321 it would need proof of vanos work... never buy the mustard yellow ones.. they look like baby pooh !.. best colour was mine which was estoril blue... also love the imola red and black ones... I'd love to respray a Zed in Estoril Blue...
  20. Can you vouch for the condition of this car, Andy?
