  1. I get this noise on my 04 too. To me it doesnt sound mechanical, but would be interesting to see what it is. TBH ive never been too worried about it as it 'chatters' at a slower rate than the RPM speed, so doubt its engine related.
  2. Just home from the Geometry Setup and new tyres. Very pleased with the garage. really genuine blokes. Charged £65 plus vat. The guy who did it said that he loved how easy it was to set up. Not had chance to give it some beans, but everything seems ok. If your local give them a go.
  3. Depends where you are mate. There are quite a few around Im taking my Zed to a place called CTS tyres in Derby tomorrow. They seem to have good write ups and the guy was helpful. Im not sure how many settings there are on the Zed as they charge depending how much needs setting up. There is abviously track on the front and im sure there is camber adjustment on all 4 corners. If there is any 'caster' adjustment on the Zed i dont know?
  4. It supprising that having 2 different tyre types makes so much difference! Does anyone know why this is? Different tread patterns obviously, but still.. Had a few cars now with different tyres and never had this effect before! Looks like ill be a driving saint until these new ones are fitted. Thanks for your help everyone! James
  5. Ahh good man! Thanks for that reply, took a massive worry off my shoulders ! The reason i went for the Toyos is that people seem to rave about them (even over the Falkens). Had them before on another car and was impressed with the grip (even though the tyre walls are soggy) Been on 'cam skill' and got 2 new front Toyos, so will have a matching set all around now Do you think i should be ok now?
  6. Haha, ok ill purchase some new tyres now from camskill. By driving slowely i mean at a reasonable pace, but no where near the capabilities of the car. I took it around the Nurburgring so kinda know where they are now . The fronts are really worn on the inside, but only the first inch. Could it be possible that somehow ive knocked out the camber? Also sure ive read somewhere on here about when garages jack in the wrong place and bend something... (they put the car on a 4 point hydraulic car jack to do the rear tyres) Appologies for taking so much of your time guys James
  7. Hmm ok, Thanks for the advice so far Well some new tyres seem like a good option first of all especially as its winter. Like you say beavis it seems weird that its only when turning right. It was only the rear tyres which were replaced. If I take the rear wheels off, what am i looking for sensor wise? (where and what they look like) On the positive, ive fitted a K&N Typhoon and 1/16 plenum spacer this weekend. Love the noise
  8. Thanks for the reply It had the original Bridgestones on the back. Now it has the same size however these are Toyo's Front tyres are worn i admit. Not near the legal limit, but the inside edge is very worn. They have done 16,000 miles so wasnt supprised by this. Its just strange how it seems to have suddenly started to do this. Maybe its time for some new fronts too?
  9. Hi, For the past week (maybe a bit more) when turning right the traction control light comes on and seems to apply the front left hand brake. It will do this when turning right only (like an island) even when not traveling quickly! Really throws the car off balance tbh, not nice. Stearing doesnt feel right either somehow. Ive checked the tyre presseures and they are all fine! Can anyone shed any light on this? 2 weeks ago i had 2 rear tyres fitted, dont know if this has something to do with it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Dont like driving her atm. James
  10. Thanks for the advice! After searching on the site a bit more it looks like the Pro-kit is the one to go for. Will be purchased asap
  11. Im thinking that its time to lower my car. My question is: What is the recommended max drop on the standard shocks? (im looking at the Eibach sportline kit which is -30mm all around) Or Is it worth getting new shocks and springs? Sorry if this has been asked before! Thanks, James
  12. As im only 22 the car history is relatively short lol 1st: R reg - Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 sport with an induction kit and stainless lol (wrote this off within 6 weeks of ownership ) 2nd: W reg - Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 sport 3rd: 02 reg - Vauxhall Corsa 1.8 Sri 4th: V reg - Vauxhall Corsa 2.1 16v (redtop conversion) This is truely the only car ive ever loved. Total track beast (205bhp) with the quaffe diff, bilstein suspension, stripped and dropped on the floor. Still own it as a track weapon. (Weird Vauxhall fan im afraid) 5th 04 reg - Nissan 350z The reason i bought this was wanted something almost as fast as the corsa, but far more reliable (the corsa eats gearboxs like there chocolate) and something which didnt anger the neighbours eachtime i started it lol. The 350 also looks great! Havent fallen in love with the zed yet but there is time. James
  13. Personally when spending this much money i would always wait for the one you really want. Means there will never be that 'what if' in your head Thats my thoughts anyway
  14. The Dash lights are on perminantly and can only be dimmed to suit when the headlights are on. Hope this helps Someone correct me if im wrong
  15. Thanks for the reply! The gear shift is nice and tight with no movement. The vibration seems to coming through the car too (dampened by the bushes though). Its almost as though something is out of balance and when it reaches about 3000rpm it reaches a resenant frequancy. Only happens when backing off too. When excellerating its all smooth. Any ideas greatly appreciated If im taking it to a garage, would like point them in the right direction ideally. Thanks, James
