There are 276 engines happily running at 100k+ mileages. I don't think I've ever heard anyone suggest that Nissan redesigned the engine because of any longevity issues with the older ones - although the 296 engines have in some cases had a huge appetite for oil.
IMHO the fundamental changes to the 313 lump were to improve performance and driveability and it certainly is a far superior, higher revving and better sounding motor than the original.
Agree with the above. Spacers are a cheap way of making the OEM wheels fill the arches but if I were going aftermarket I'd prefer to have wheels that fit properly without them.
Mark, if I were you I'd stick with rims between a +20 and +30 to maintain the look you had.
Was good meeting you finally buddy, i hope i lived upto my name
The funny thing is that you were the only new face that I met that I recognised straight away without introduction!
Hopefully, next time we'll get more time for a chat.
You're right Immy - I don't think we've ever has so many heavily modded Zeds on the run before. Great to see that cars like Paul's and Mark's can still perform as well as look good!
Some great photos. Love the pub car park from Sunday!
Glad I took the opportunity to pop over and say hi to some old and new faces. Sorry I wasn't able to catch up with everyone. Guess I wasn't around long enough to upset you eh, Nic? There's always next time.
Gutted to hear about your accident Steve.
