  1. I'd take my chances with a 458 if I had the cash. Judging by the spate of tests that have come out in the last week or so it seems to be the supercar to beat. Not sure about the toytown dash though....
  2. See my post above about forums. There's quite a few UK Mk3 guys on miata.net and for a US based forum its very friendly. I'll try and find you on Nutz too.

    New splitter :)

Excellent job, Jay. Looks really good.
  4. 350 is the purer and prettier design and really hasn't dated much at all. 370 has grown on me but isn't in the same league IMHO.
  5. 2 & 2 together and.. this is rik!? It's maybe Riks american cousin.... Like Rik but fatter and married to his own sister?
  6. Good one though. Must be where Rik cut his teeth...
  7. Internal drive lug nuts - went all rusty on the inside...
  8. Good idea. I bet they'd be more visible than our live police with radar guns..... Not seen this before. They did it in the nineties on the M6 with cardboard Rangies...
  9. viewtopic.php?t=20523 Did you not search Neil? sure did not, i was on the iphone at work skiving, so didnt have time to browse lol

  11. Nice rims on the coupe.
  12. Funnily enough you're not the first person to suggest it might have been a bit dodgy in that respect. It was a brand-new demo car from a main dealer so I would hope that it was set up to OEM specs, which if true really isn't good enough at all. If it was a Mk3 and not the latest Mk3.5 it won't have been set up properly from the dealer. I agree, very poor show.
  13. Was it set up properly with the lowering springs, Dan? The Mk3 can feel like a dog without them and good geo set up. Get it right and you've got a car which is better than the Mk2. If you've heard of Wheels In Motion (they are the generally accepted wizards of MX5 chassis tuning), Tony the boss reckons that the Mk3 is one of the best RWD chassis ever but only once its been properly set up.
  14. A couple of snaps for interest value...
  15. The offsets are weak. I'd go with the Rotas.
  16. Nurrish, please get rid of the scary woman avatar - I can feel my lunch coming back...
  17. It would be fine on a heavily kitted Zed but looks wrong on this one. Wheels are w4nk too...
  18. Not many non-imports have air con, even Mk1s. On the other hand I probably wouldn't buy a UK Mk1 as they're all rusting to hell now. I wouldn't fancy a regular motorway commute in a Mk1 or Mk2 mind you.
  19. Does it not depend on the wheel width and the tyre thats being used? I reckon you could get a 10J ET5 on the back running a 235 with the arch lipped, if not as standard. And upon checking the ad, those are staggered 8's and 9s', so youd have no issue making them fit. £850 isnt too bad for those wheels either IMHO 235 on the back of a Zed - no thanks.
  20. I meant to say that as far as forums go, the UK ones are still a bit sniffy about Mk3s (NCs). Best info is on here http://forum.miata.net/vb/
