  1. No longer for sale as I've decided to keep it. Mods, please lock. Ta.
  2. I joined them in trying to give it a push but it was stuck fast. If I'd had a rope I could have dragged it off but I wouldn't have fancied being blamed when half the underside came off!
  3. I was down at Lyme Park in the week and, as I'm walking back through the car park, some 17 year old kid decides to do a jump over one of the grass verges to impress his pals and some girls - at about 5 mph! The results can be seen below...
  4. but if you buy another 2nd hand car then that will cost more too, surely? Yes, unless you're trading down or buying new, your next car will be more expensive.
  5. Calm down, mate, you've just got a free bump for your ad! Looks a nice one but I won't insult you by offering an MX5 in p/x...
  6. Very nice - don't know about the GTR jacket though!
  7. Thats horrible news sorry to hear that mate +1
  8. Without the canards it would look spot on. Canards are poo IMHO.
  9. Correct! Welcome back, Jim. Careful on those JDM specs mate - there seem to be very few ST's knocking around.
  10. Nice rims with good offsets. GLWTS!
  11. I suspect given the rather specialist nature of your current wheels it may take a bit longer than 2 days for someone to bite...
  12. This is nearly true, but at what cost 10K for a 58 plate!!!!! My roadster is one of the cheapest in the UK with some good modifications but it still has not sold, so am reluctant to believe that even keenly priced cars are selling. You really do have to knock it down to stupid money, then what are you achieving. Unless you can knock your next cars value down 20% or more, but thats a bit of a risk. 53 Plate? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1163883.htm
  13. I can't argue with the straight line figures but why do you say this? In the wet the Golf would muller a Zed obviously but in the dry? The R32 is just a Golf with 4WD added whilst the Zed is a RWD sports car. I know which will be the most engaging drive... PS I'm not dissing the Golf and almost went for one of these when I needed something practical.
  14. Err I don't think the Carbon black is a special edition............it actually looks dark blue in a lot of lights!! It looks blue in most lights, unfortunately. Stupidly I expected it to be black! I was told its an M-sport only colour.

    New Car

    Looks fantastic - very envious!
  16. I think you need to spend some money on rims before a bonnet, Jay.
  17. This looks like it will be class! Steve, just noticed my name is still on the list - my Zed went 10 months ago! Have a good one!
  18. I'm actually surprised at how much I miss a manual gearbox. +1 I still use the stick to shift up and down rather than the paddles as when you turn the wheel the paddles spin with the wheel which is very annoying. We only got the SMG cos the Mrs wanted an auto and it was the best compromise we could find. The SMG is a very slick bit of kit though. With regard to the servicing, it'll be going to an independant. it may be more expensive but that is evened out by the fact that the service schedule is not like the zed's e.g 12 months/9k it is based on the onboard computer and is determined by how you drive the car. Lots of short journeys and the miles to the next service comes down quicker. use it les frequently and for longer journeys like we do and the service will not be for ages. Its not uncommon to see M3's unserviced for 18 months + because of this. My car is showing the service is required in 11,000 miles but we have only done 3,000 in it since January so it'll be ages before we need to service it at that rate.................. Only the second time I tried the paddles I picked up a ticket for 59 in a 30 - whoops!
  19. Do you have any sort of cage on the car, Alex, or are you relying on the standard roll-over protection?
  20. I'm actually surprised at how much I miss a manual gearbox.
