  1. Its probably that the arches are a touch more flared. They certainly don't follow the original lines too faithfully. He really needs a carbon roof even if its only a cover.
  2. Save the huge hit then and get a Monaro VXR now. Second hand prices are on the floor. Dan's got one for sale.
  3. Love the gills! If you're serious though, look on the EVO website for write ups on their long-term test car. It was actually owned and run by Rowan Atkinson (yes, Mr Bean! ) and he wasn't too keen. IIRC he was a bit peeved that MG seemed to be allowing the customers to do the testing and development, TVR-style. It would be brave choice but I'd salute you for it.
  4. Sack the Amuse comment - I was looking at the other black car!
  5. I'd say the rims are Volk GTS, http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/indexe.html I'm no expert on bodykits but could it be Amuse?
  6. Absolute bitch! Adam's time was probably up but its clear the others have picked on him because he's Northern and working class.
  7. I have to say I'm not the monkey fan but the place is quality. Even better if you're a monkey as you get to just wander about to your hearts content not like some nasty zoo.
  8. 460 bhp on standard internals!
  9. Congrats! We're waiting for the photos........
  10. I'm amazed but I really like it. Kit is looking good too. Just need to sort those new rims mate.....
  11. There's a gentle green glow on the horizon as I look North.......
  12. where the bloody hell's "Monkey Forest " ?? Trentham Gardens, near Stoke. As usual with these places we were the only ones without kids!
  13. ....chrome grille, private reg.
  14. Do I gather you're keen for a meet Daron? You've responded to every meet thread ever posted today! Patience, young Jedi, you'll get there.
  15. Have a good one lads.
  16. This I'm looking forward to seeing!
  17. I would use it on a daily basis, I thought they were bought out by a russian guy meant to be better quality no??? Unfortunately, better than sh1te still isn't that good.
  18. But the mags all thought the smaller engined Brera the sweeter car. The performance has got to be better on the 3.2 but there's the extra weight of the engine and the 4wd to factor in. It'll be a lot slower than a Zed! The heavy nose will make it understeer more too. But its soooooooo pretty! Suppose there's always this....... http://www.autodelta.co.uk/range/j5/model.htm
  19. If you're serious look around the Pistonheads forums in the TVR bits. There are so many things to look out for its unreal! If they'd ever got round to making them properly it probably would have been my next car.
  21. Me too but despite being gorgeous its apparently pants to drive. Life's cruel!
  22. I don't fully agree, as the only expensive item is the SMG clutches and you can buy an manual. No cam belts, so the servicing is just th usual oil change and check over. The rest would be on warranty. Labour rates would of course be a little higher than a Nissan, but you would be surprised just how cheap they are to keep. But Tim was talking about an old one so no warranty.........
  23. Is it this one? If it is, you are tooo good at this! The one is the pic is GM, 53 plate, GT pack and 34k miles and is down south so it may very well be Do you ever think how much money you could be earning whilst you're doing stuff like this?
  24. Monaro's a good call if you can get on with the looks. There are some factory approved supercharger conversions out there which will still depreciate like f@ck. Loads of lairy tailslides! It's a Holden rather than a Vauxhall and you can't be a badge snob because you drive a Nissan!
