I've got a D50. Be careful wit the lens. The one they bundle is crap, 18-55 I think. I've got the 18-70 as sold with the D80. I also use my Sigma 75-300 which I had with my old film F70. Faboulus focal length and not bad quality. Overall I'm very please with the results. I've had the camera about 18 months now.

I went to Bug Jam today at Santa Pod and was reminiscing my days watching drag racing many years ago and having the pleasure of watching Slammin’ Sammy Miller in his Rocket powered Drag Car. For those who do not know this is the guy who has the overall ET record for the ¼ mile at 3.58 seconds. I’m pleased to say that this record was set here in the UK at Santa Pod Raceway. This makes Santa Pod’s current Jet Powered Car look slow. They ran a 6.1 seconds today. Sammy Miller died in 2002 but was already a legend. The quote which shows this guys spirit and impresses me most was when he said “every time he raced the car his nose and ears bledâ€

My Cossie hasn't done much more than that. It was MOT'd last August and has done one track day plus the return journey. Since then it's sat in the garage.

I like the old one TBH although looking a bit dated. I test drove one and go nearly bought one, then had a flush of common sense and went to the BMW dealers. The SMG isn't to everybodies liking and it didn;t drive as well as the Bimmer, but expect the new one to be much much better.
