  1. i find it useful for average speed cameras, takes the stress of staring at the speedo all the time. and on long jouneys i do like it as well. but hey i'm a lazy driver.
  2. i got it sent free so thought what the hell, to give it its dues' it may have not affected fuel economy but it did smooth out the lumpy throttle response i had on my old rover 214. i also used there power boost spray to clean the injectors which did make the car feel smoother, especially as it had 124000 miles on the clock.
  3. for my sins i once fitted one of these to my first ever car http://www.ecotek.eu/CB-26P.htm
  4. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DemonMag-for-Niss ... 4|294%3A50 any one come across these before? never seen it before, and never new that magnetic fields effect fuel? from my engineering training i thought that magnetic fields only affect ferrous based materials. i know they work on us and are used in travel sickness, but then we contain iron in our blood stream. what do you guys think?
  5. if it helps then the dimensions of this exact cubby are in the reference section where i had measured it for peoples reference, so if your not sure people that just measure your current cubby to see if tyhis one wil fit.
  6. Hi guys, bought this new from JDM performance for my satnav about 2 months ago, but the audio fitters didn't use it as my sat nav was to big for it. paid £100 for it, never used it. looking for around £80 inc p+p definatly fits pre 06 cars and i'm fairly certain that it should fit face lift versions as well. as after dismantling the dash the boxes are all the same and use the same mounting points. this is the one that actually pushes back into the box, and replaces the one that just goes up and down,
  7. Be warned with this, it isn't recognised by anyone other than Admiral - a clever way to keep you with them once you have done the 1st 10 months...... I have always found them good, it just happened that Chris Knott stepped up to it this time around. i questioned them about this but was told they are recognised by other insurers. must admit though most of the insurers i've been with i've never had to send proof of NCB's just told them how many years i've had and where from. my wife on the other hand has had to get letters from the previous insuers and send it off as evidence.
  8. i'm with admiral and they've been great. i'm on their 10 month multiplier at the moment to get my NCB back quicker.
  9. ok guys heres the latest update, just been on the phone to rob, and he has given me the full low down on the Zed badges and lead times. sadly we will be looking at another 8 weeks before seeing anything, as its currently show season rob is up to his eyeballs in this stuff and has orders left right and centre to fulfill. he has also got a new trailer for doing the shows but its requiring lots of work to prep it for the shows and as this is one of his main money makers and investments it takes priority so sadly we are a little down the line at the moment. on an up note he has started the design work for them, but it will take a little time to get them perfect as the pictures don't match up with the rubbings due to being taken at a slight angle etc. so he is currently drawing them by hand and altering all the vector points independently. i think 8 weeks is possibly the max, these may come out earlier, but rob just wanted me to have the full info and not feel that he was leading us on. this will get done and will definatly be worth the wait. but we will have to wait. i hope this is ok with people. and hope people can be patient. if i'd started this at the beginning of the year it wouldn't have been an issue. just call it bad timing i suppose.
  10. i've seen some that fit either side of the number plate at the rear. not looke din depth at them, but prefer them to the rear bumper acne that you see on other cars.
  11. YEAH i won something i never win anything thanks guys, am just glad that we managed to raise some money for a good cause
  12. if thats sarah working on the cars, then i'm going to the wrong mechanics
  13. i tried, but i had such good online quote for my unusual tyres that sadly they couldn't match the price. but i might go and visit them for fitting.
  14. i would have entered, but the mods i wanted to enter haven't arried yet or aren't on the car yet. will have to wait for the next one.
  15. twas me i had been to autofit, hadleigh tyres, melton, and finally went to Team AFM who can do it; but not for at least a week and a half. but hopefully they'll do it mid week and give me a courtesy car while they do it as i have to work when they're open.
  16. is that what the goodwood feastival of speed is like. looks like great fun that 350 drifting round the bends did look very good.
  17. nice looking bit of kit, has made me frustrated that i couldn't get mine done today, can't find a Tig welding exhaust place anywhere in suffolk. am getting team AFM to do it but i'll have to wait a week and a half.
  18. well had fun today, done a total of 150 miles and still not fitted. couldn't find a local garage to do the repairs so ended up going down to exclipse in rainham if i'd made it in the 1.5 hours i was supposed to there would have been enough time to do it, but due to traffic it took me 3 hours. to give them there dues, eclipse were very good and they have done alot of the leg work they cut the old flexi off, and had the correct replacement in stock and welded it to a new flange so its ready to mount on the pipe (just not enough time to do it this evening) charged me £55 for the work. but the mechanic i was dealing with was a legend, he threw in all the gaskets and bolts i would need with out billing me. (don't think his boss knew. so tomorrow i'm off the MJS in ipswich to finish the job. if your asking why i didn't go there first, is that i knew they wouldn't have the flexi i needed in stock and would have ordered it in by monday the earliest. this way i know i have all the bits. just hope they can squeeze me in to fit it. total spend so far £200 on the exhaust £30 petrol money £60 fixing (so far) £290 total spend so far should be able to get the rest of the work done for £40 and jobs a goodun. will post up picks tomorrow as its now super shiney mirror finish thanks to the autosol.
  19. 1. Chris`I 2. MAD7BOY 3. Louis 4. Rtbiscuit do i just need to add my name to this list for now, or have i got to sign up at the same time on the website.
  20. andy if ab350z doesn't want your kinetix i'll take it off your hands.
  21. ok thats good to know, as when i was looking it was saying for 2 people £400 i presume thats the minimum you need.
  22. toyos have a great knack of feeling terrible when first fitted, i had it on my old car when i had some, thought the tyre walls were like jelly. reason is the release agent that they put in the moulds when they make the tyres. takes about 400 miles to wear away. just take it steady till you've used a full tank of fuel with them.
  23. Was looking for second hand as it's cheaper. Plus if it goes again due to an electrical fault I have then I haven't spent as much
