  1. best way to learn is little and slow, build your confidence with the car, get used to what it can do and then start playing. its quite a forgiving car, especially realised this last weekend. what are you coming up from?
  2. use photobucket and it will do it automatically.
  3. its meant ot be a bit of fun, and a tad helpful at the same time. how many times have people been to a meet for the first time and hasn't got a clue who anyone is. at least this way you'll know who you've spent lots of time talking to. i had it the other weekend, i knew chris was going, but didn't know who he was, at briefing everyone wasn't with there cars so made it impossible. was only when he walked over in the line for the first run and said hi that i knew. it will only end badly if people are naughty maybe the mods would help keep it on the useful side not the useless side.
  4. lol they should use that on the welcome to scotland sign.
  5. if i hadn't seen the pic of you filling up earlier i would have said that was you arguing with him. saying "no mines better than yours, and i'm telling my dad, and he's bigger than yours!"
  6. after a post form beyond the scottish boarders it got me thinking, what does everyone look like. so i though i'd get us started off. one ground rule, you can't post pics of other people, and you cna;t play around with someone elses pic that they have posted.
  7. god i new he was young but my good he's almost knee high to a grass hopper
  8. if its for making phone calls there should be a blue tooth adapter, but its not gaurenteed if the car is second hand. if you want to play music i use a cassette adapter.
  9. from what you just said makes me think the injectors. that giving it a good run has dislodged something and spat it into tthe injector which is now partially blocked. although from what you said about the noise then the vac hoese would be the first check.
  10. true, but i think things are better now as they are more settled. at the time prices were in free fall i couldn't drop it quick enough. but its done with now and a problem i don't have to worry about anymore.
  11. its nice to see poeples faces, so i know who i've been talking too.
  12. scrap road tax and just put tolls on the motor ways like they do in france. shouldn't need fuel tax as well but i could cope if it was there. i think in france it worked out to 10 cents a mile travelled or make it 10p i can;t remember which way i worked it. we covered 700 miles and payed about £70 in toll charges. i don't think its that bad.
  13. there are a few members uo that way, so might be worth getting to a meet. congrats on the buy enjoy the car.
  14. in some ways if your not that familiar with ca rengines it might be worth going to a good independent. you could spend a small fortune trying a multitude of things only to find a mechanic could have diagnosed it for less. you could always get a diagnosis and then fix it yourself.
  15. fuel treatment sounds good, as well as possible an injector treatment, i ithink redx does one. might be an injector issue at low revs not having enough pressure to push through a possible partial blockage in an injector. must admit i have very little knowledge of renaults as i never owned one. had pugs but that probably doesnt help.
  16. proably but not for the better. all they will do is just include all the cars that got missed out from the original 2001 date.
  17. i'm guessing irfan should have some pics of the said ladies.
  18. without actually looking at the car its bloody hard ot diagnose. you pick up a lot form hearing it run, how it ticks, and the noises it makes. if you can here a hissing sound there might be a leak in a vacuum hose or sokething, but i would think it unlikely. just out of interest what kinf od use does it get. if its only ever used for short journey's the engine doesn have time to warm up and fluids properly moving it can start to gunk up (not the technical term) can be sorted by taking the car on a once weekly sprint taking in some 70mph roads and letting the car clear its self. this might help?
  19. i;m confused, are we talking food or women, i can;t work out if i;m hungry or horney
  20. great looking spoiler, just 10 times out of my budget
  21. looks like the do luck mountings, but the side fins on the envy website look huge in comparison. plus do luck is £984 i quite like that first ebay one. got me thinking if i could adjust the mountings. only issue is cleaning up the rear boot from removing the original. and to be hoest i don't think its right for my car. back to the drawing board me thinks
  22. loving the pics guys, jay your car is helping inspire me at the moment.
  23. didn't mind the first ebay add, just wonder if you could modify the bracket to make it sit even lower.
  24. i don't like it when they sit so high, its why i like the one at the top, as it sits so low to the body. anyone got a good pic of the blue envy car? i tried searching nut most were small pics and from thje front, could do with a side and rear shot. if they are at modified live it might give me some good ideas there.
  25. i get the feeling you might be taking the p1$$, nice try, but it looks like it sits to high.
