  1. not necessarily true it depends on how and who has rolled them. if don badly you can split the paint and allow it to flack, hence letting in the elements and then the rust starts.
  2. if we could get 2 more that would be ace. i'll give it till the end of april and then see what we can get. or should i try now?
  3. what you mean black plate white writing?
  4. look forward to seeing a night blue, not many about, quite a rare colour
  5. they look good, look forward to seeing them in the flesh
  6. one of the lads near me was at TEAM AFM and was showing off his rota torques as well really nice wheels
  7. dodo juice is i find the dodo hard wax takes less effort to use than the liquid wax from megs and the finish lasts longer
  8. looks like a chrome wrap to me
  9. yep and not my favourite type of wheels either.
  10. thats a shame, i haven't been for about 15 years, would love to go back sometime but not had the chance. forgot about all the queueing
  11. i use a meguairs claybar kit, i think they are about £18 from halfrauds i also have meg's polish but also have dodo juice lime and prime which would be more for prepping than a proper polish wax wise it depends on the colour and the preference. i have a blade silver and like dodo juice supernatural, topped up with dodo juice redmist. lots of other good products out there. but am slowly swapping to dodo juice as i work my way up the detailing ladder. megs is a good starting point.
  12. Hey Rich you beat me to the rim protector mate It looks really nice as i expected but i may have to go for a different colour now to be different People were asking but no one had tried it,be nice to see a new colour as well It sets off the whole wheel a la CE28N time attack but i'm not a fan of the red lug nut or tommy k centers......to busy and a different shade that makes the gold callipers standout oddly even more:dry: Calipers to be sorted at some point, but i like the centres and lug nuts, they don't come out well in pictures but look a lot better in the flesh. and if we all had the same taste life would be boring I reckon black lug nuts, plain black or CF centers and black callipers with red lettering will look spot on or alternatively as someone mentioned BS callipers might be a brave option too not liking the silver caliper idea, and wondering if black will make them lost in there. the big thing i noticed with the wheels is that with out the lip the wheels look lost in the arches. and wonder if the same will happen to the calipers
  13. got a couple of more things to do then i shall go photo crazy as for what happens when you curb a black wheel, yes its a blindingly obvious as its silver underneath here are some other pics of them fitted on a civic to show the edge
  14. sounds like it needs a good claybar, then a good polish and then some good wax
  15. from another car, but shows the sticky out ness
  16. had lots of positive comments from people already, i did find an article on them on a previous forum i used to be on, i'll see if i can cut and paste it on here to save you all joining up as its a member view only site.
  17. i have, but did it after taking the picture well done for noticing though and thanks for the tip
  18. i saw the same articles from K&N and know what they are saying but for me and my piece of mind i prefer dry filters. that and apexi is one of the best.
  19. although i had the new number plate bracket fitted i ordered new plates all round, and a little tribute to the forum have added the forum web address to the bottom, should help with the advertising, and gets rid of the horrible rear i had with a Citroen logo on. oh these are my show plates for use on private ground
  20. thats the big thing, heard several people in the last month all talk about being f'd off because they had recently curbed their nice wheels. gives me a lot more piece of mind
  21. will have to take some more tomorrow as its dark now, but these look a lot better than the other rim protectors, there are no gaps and sit well against the wheel, i think the only down point that might put people off is that they stick out a little, compared to a painted lip. but thats something i can live with.
  22. they look like painted lips, well they do to me, i suppose it needs others to see them and comment really. they blend in well from looking face on, they're only really noticeable if you look down the side of the car as they stick out a little. but in order to do there job they have to. a small sacrifice in my eyes,
