  1. if i was to get a "W" lead so it has a single start but finishes with a red, white and yellow connector do i need to use all the connectors, am i right in thinking that red and white connectors are for audio and yellow is for video. if i used 1 for video in and another for video out, it should mean i'm prepped for any situation and also cut down on the risk of interference as it will be just the one cable instead of piggy backing cables together. sorry if these questions seem silly its just audio world is something i've never dabbled with and its a whole new area to learn. and i'm starting right at the beginning
  2. are these not RCA leads? i think its that type but i think it needs to be a male to female lead. needs to be male to connect to the current cable end and female at the other end ready for when i want to add something to it. one is for AV in the other is for AV out proposed plan is that in the future i might be adding in a tv tuner to the AV in or some kind of OBDII converter and AV out plan might be in the future to hook up secondary screens in the car maybe in the visor for the passenger for watching movies. but for now all i want to do is keep the same style of connector on the back of the headunit, but just move it 1.5 metres away from its current location.
  3. frickin love that female parking gif
  4. Am in the process of wiring up the loom for my new headunit i will have 2 spare RCA slots 1 is video in and the other video out. i might plan to use them at some point but i don't want to have to take the headunit out again. the plan is to connect up 2 RCA leads to these points and basically extend the connection point to somewhere more reachable at a later date. my problem is i'm struggling to find what i need, i don't know much about RCA leads and don't know if they are all the same or different depending on use. they only need to be about 1.5 metres long and i think they need to be RCA to RCA and definitly single wire. dont need one with 1 rca at one end and 2 or 3 at the other. any one know a good place to get them from? and i hope i made sense
  5. Come on mate enter the Euro?! It's a flawed currency and some economists see very little in terms of future for it. It's a good job we never entered it and for all I care they can keep it. As for the EU, there are no benefits for us, it's a joke. thankyou, glad to see someone has some sense

  12. welcome to the club, get to a meet early and it gives you a chance to check the zed over with people who know the car and no presusre of a seller next to you.

  14. oh god i wouldn't want the euro in a million years, our problem is we're stuck in european union, we need out of brussels being in charge. its not doing us any favours
  15. looks really good
  16. did this yesterday, might be worth noting that the drivers side has 2 bolts in the bottom section unlike the passenger side which only has one. the second bolt on the bottom of the drivers side is an arse to get to and an even bigger arse to put back in. i found in the end the best way was to put the original 2 back in but leave them slightly loose, that way you can move the handle about to get the last one in. also when refitting, there is a long arm on each handle, you'll see it when its off, when re fitting the end of this needs to go in to a little blue holder inside the door. pre warning its not easy to see, a torch will help. if you don't slot the bar into this hole the handle will still go on, but if you shut the door and try to open it, the handle will move like normal, but its not actually attached to the door mechanism so the door won't open. so don't do both at the same time or you'll lock yourself out of the car, or leave the windows wound down as you can then open it with the internal handle
  17. fitted pics are finally on
  18. nearly 4 years
  19. i think it was the idea to try and take the likwid art in a direction that TK didn't which was differnet colours. i love the original TK badge, hence the copy, but my wallet just isn't up for that kind of a beating
  20. thats why i organised the likwid art stuff its split the club though, there are those who will only wear the real deal and pay the money, and those that won't and buy likwidart, somemembers find this sacrilege; me personally i refuse to fork out £80 for a bit of plastic
  21. This not an option then? viewtopic.php?f=122&t=25391&hilit=carbonetics
  22. same here
  23. looks like a tow bar on some kind of 4x4 hit that. looking at a new door and new drivers side front wing. PM R35LEE he should be able to sort you out with both, might get a colour match, but might need to eget them sprayed. personally i think your better to go through the insurer, your looking the best part of probably £300 in parts (guessing) and possibly another £600 for spraying and maybe £100 fitting costs.
  24. DMS were selling the carbonetics clutch setup. thats meant to be very impressive. with your heavy driving i'm wondering if you should look at something designed for a turbo setup and not for a standard NA?
  25. as far as i'm aware the child seat not going in a zed is only for rear facing child seats. nixy setup is fine.
