  1. Its the 20k members group, so not just for Liam, just the only other people to hit it are mods/admins. Thats why I took down the top posters box on the portal as it was the team + Liam ian and i were on that list
  2. i have another 5000 posts to go before pimpin pink although i don't think its number related, i think its just a sarnie special
  3. i think my name is mud now with some mods get on fine now, but mod status is never going to happen + there are others desperate to be mods its funny to watch
  4. to be honest halfords or euro parts stuff will be fine, just keep it all the same, any left over can be kept in the garage for top ups then, and you'll need 9 litres
  5. Vote for who you like......this ain't a democracy don't let chesterfield hear you say that, we had a heated discussion over this a while ago Biscuit wasnt you a mod? Did you not do a good enough job to get a gold name? never made it; wasn't well behaved enough
  6. alright you might be ok, the 2 reccomended ones seem to be OAT based, but i still wouldn't mix coolants of different colours. especially if the other stuff isn't OAT tech in the nxt month or so, i'd drain and re fill

  8. i don't own one any more so i can;t look in the manual, but it should state in the manual what you need. when i did my coolant change i just ordered the right stuff from opie, i believe it was nissans own coolant, i'll go check

  10. check to see if the orange stuff you used is organic acid technology (OAT) its a long life coolant and only suitable for cars that are designed to run on it. and i don't think the nissan is.
  11. please go out and flush your coolant out and refill from fresh. if its the orange one i think it is, its a corrosive coolant made for certain cars, my jag uses it, and it will eat through your coolant system if left in for too long. the blue stuff is a different type. you should use the coolant recommended for your car.
  12. just remember its one thing being able to afford to buy one, just make sure you can afford to run it. just because it costs the same as a ford fiesta now doesn't mean it costs the same to run as one. lots of people buy them and then get 6 months down the line and sell up because they can't afford it. and not alot actually own up to that either.
  13. i thought it was more like the freemasons, where you had to wait to be invited, and then you were taught the secret handshake. We're more like the Round Table. We invite you to come along, explain the craic, then decide if you are gonna be able to do the job or not. No funny handshakes, but you do have to be able to complete the ECU pedal dance 5 times in a row without blinking. round table? i heard it was more like dante's 7th circle of hell?
  14. it is a legal requirement that all cars built after 1993 have an emissions controlled CAT. if you take it off after your MOT your car is no longer legal. you would also be invalidating your insurance if they found them after you had a crash, they are prefectly with in their rights not to honour your insurance policy. the only cars with de cats on that pass an mot are those who go to test stations who are happy to stretch/falsify, or even test another vehicle for your MOT.

  16. in 1993 it was a legal requirement that all cars manufactured from that point on came fitted with a catalytic converter, so this was more down to the manufacturers than the owners, but if you bought a car back then that didn't have one and it was manufactured that year then you needed to have it. as a helpful pointer the people at milltek are pretty keyed up here is a link to their website FAQ's read the one on legal stuff http://www.millteksport.com/exhaust.faqs.cfm
  17. glad it was all good, i've not used them myself, but have heard positives from others who've needed a quick repair.
  18. i'd leave the typhoon in, but possibly modify it to take a different filter.
  19. first bloke i've ever heard of who's been kicked in the nuts by his own car. that does however sound very painful, i hope its not to serious, i'd get some ice on your nuts and some deep heat on your back.
  20. Thats right people the biscuit has hit 15000 posts i'd like to quote a great roman "veni vidi vici"
