    Hawk vs DBA

Sorry silly question, when you say Hawk ceramic, you mean the Hawk PC in the yellow box rather than the HPS or HPS 5.0?
  2. They come in a pair, you cant see it on the photo but there is one the other side.
  3. Can't lie was a little apprehensive before first lift, but it's brilliant, stable as a rock and not far off 600mm from floor to underside of car. Should have bought one years ago.
  4. I took a chance and went, quite quiet today but I'm told on Japanese cars day the place is usually rammed. One other 370Z there, a very clean Nismo, sorry didn't get a chance to say hello before you left so if you're on the forum... 'hi'! and catch you maybe next time. Few interesting cars... a rare RX7 mkII cabrio, a 260Z, usual EVOs and Scoobys, no Civics though strange those things usually multiply like rabbits.
  5. Its tipping it down and I'm told the A38 is flooded in places so both me and the ze are staying indoors, I have a brand new quick jack to unbox so won't be bored
  6. Been meaning to go, its only a couple of junctions and they have a different theme every weekend. This Saturday its Japanese cars so might give it a go, if its poor I can still get a full English breakfast out of it. PS is it good form to resurrect older threads on this site?
  7. I watched some Youtube vids and both have similar bar and cam safety locks. TBH I'll probably end up putting some axle stands under as well for belt and braces. Scissor lift or low height 2 post lift were the other options I had considered, but I suspect my garage floor will need some work for the 2 post, and a scissor lift is a pretty big lump in the garage when not in use.
  8. I wouldn't say money is no object, but when it comes to my safety... money no object! The 2 I have been looking at are 5000TL from Quickjack, and the Quick Lifts from Equipment4garages. With blocks etc both are similar price c£1800.00.
  9. I plan to take the new (old) z off the road for the winter for some TLC (underbody corrosion prevention, Invidia Gemini (not bought yet), HFCs (maybe) new discs etc etc) and have been looking at quick lift options online as I've never felt happy under a car on axle stands. Wondered if anyone has any experience? Good or bad?
  10. Hi, similar journey to me (56 and just bought a 9 year old 30,000 mile Z for a project) What part of the country are you?
  11. Hi and thanks for letting me join, I've just bought a 370Z as a weekend toy. I last had a toy about 25 years ago (Mitsubishi GTO) but since then daily life has got in the way and weekends have been mostly family / shopping / working / DIY. Not that that hasn't been enjoyable, but its good to finally get some time back for my long lost hobby. Looking forwards to watching hundreds of hours of Youtube and forum posts on what exhaust/brakes/air filter... is best, or spending an afternoon deep cleaning and ceramic coating the paint, or wandering around a JDM show. I live in Somerset so if there are any locals looking to chat I'm looking to learn about these awesome cars 😀☕
