  1. Don't over think it, 'run what ya brung' and have fun
  2. He doesn't want OE wings, he doesn't want used, and he doesn't want aftermarket. What else is there?
  3. Aren't there bumps and holes and things for the park brake mechanism on the shields?
  4. I see Zociety are hosting club stands at quit a few places this year if anyone is interested. JDM Coombe are available on the circuit web site, club code is ZOCIETYJDM26

  5. Small mod, front and rear chrome and carbon effect badges from z1 store
  6. Cataclean by itself no I never found it to be an MOT fix on any car. I guess everyone has to find what works for them, but the combination that works for me (so far) is cobra HFCs, Radium oil catch cans (vapour reduces octane which reduces burn efficiency therefore increases CO and HC), and a drop of Wynns pre MOT cleaner and a good blast the week before.
  7. From the symptoms (not self centering) I would have said it was likely either the rack binding, suspension geometry/alignment, or ball joints/friction. Doubtful the pump had anything to do with it, unless the steering is heavy, noisy, or the fluid is foamy. I'm surprised the garage were not able to diagnose it - if you lift the car up in the air and the problem goes away (the weight is off the suspension) its more likely suspension issue, and its still the same its likely the rack or ball joints/friction. Too many garages just don't follow logical cause condition confirm diagnosis these days.
  8. Atmospheric shot, I asked copilot to stick a photo of my car to an urban background!
  9. Finished the airlift today, very happy with the results. Car needs a vacuum! I've played around with different ways to isolate the compressor vibration and what I've found works best is double isolation, and adding dead sheet to the wheel well: (waiting for the airlift isolators but I've temporarily used some soft springs to prove it)
  10. There are 30+ 350z for sale on autotrader right now. Not sure why you'd choose to go to the trouble and cost of converting a convertable to a coupe, just buy a coupe. But sure it could be done, anything can be done with enough patience, time and money.
  11. Welcome, there is a wealth of information here to help you
  12. I had flu over xmas and the car has sat untouched for a month, so decided to set to on the airlift and fit the front. Very easy to fit. I did ponder airline route for a while; there are quite a few videos on YouTube showing people routing then under the car, and one guy routing through the car, but very little detail. I decided to drill through the footwells in the corner, fit grommets and route behind the liners and into the car. Seems safer to me and a straight run from bags to valve. Very pleased with how to came out and I won't have to mess around getting then over and under and around the rear subframe. I'm planning to set about the rears next weekend. Photo if it helps anyone in the future.
  13. Done it. No didn't encounter any blind nuts, it would be a pretty stupid design if that were the case. I do recall the screws are 3 or 4 different lengths, I made a piece of cardboard with holes where the screws fitted so I could put them back in the right places. Don't overtighten them, I have a 1/4" drive inch pound wrench for this small stuff.
  14. Why reading this I am in a Yoda accent?
  15. I looked at an R34 GTR back in 2000 in Bedford. I know the time and place because I'd just met my wife. At the time I was working in the US so it didn't make sense. Don't recall the price but sure it was going for peanuts. If only... but then again if I'd kept every car I've owned I'd have a garage worth a million bucks.
  16. Did you read the other thread on this?

  18. Fine if you like hairdresser cars 🤣
  19. 240z for me, it will sit nicely alongside my 370z and I'll still have room for an R34 GTR 🤣
  20. I can't take credit it's Microsoft's AI
  21. I just plumbed the question into CoPilot (I'm playing around with it never used it before) Which Should You Choose? FXE22HR11 is a direct OE long-life iridium plug—reliable, designed for hybrid VQ series engines. IXEH22TT delivers advanced twin‑tip ignition technology, potentially boosting throttle response, torque, and fuel efficiency, while also maintaining high durability. Practical rule: FXE22HR11 sticks more strictly to OE specs; IXEH22TT offers an upgrade in combustion performance without changing fitment or heat range. Pretty cool eh?
  22. Motul multi ATF is fine, it meets Nissan S spec Demon tweaks have it on offer Buy Motul Multi ATF Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid / Power Steering Fluid | Demon Tweeks
  23. Fluid for life is a marketing thing. Oil degrades slowly over time from heat, contamination, and additive breakdown... that's just fact. There is no oil that Nissan could put in at the factory that wouldn't degrade. With fresh oil you'll have optimum wear protection, heat management and crisper shifting. Ultimately the box will last longer. Do you need to panic to change it now? No, do it at the next service or when time/money allows. Could you run an auto box without ever changing the oil? Yes, probably. A lot will come down to what is your intention for the car? Are you intending to keep it? Or just run it for a bit and sell it?
  24. I changed my auto oil last year on 33k miles and I'll do it again at 60k and 90k whenever I get there. I also dropped the pan, fitted a new filter, and cleaned the magnets. It's an easy job, takes about an hour or so. Personally I've never held with the idea autos are filled for life, I've drained too many high milers down the years and seen the black sludge. JMO. A box of 10 litres of Motul S ATF cost me £142.89, the filter and sump gasket was £22.64. It took about 7 litres, I didn't flush it and not all of the oil drains out. You'll need a small hand pump like this SMOTIVEPRO 1 Liter Multi-Purpose Oil Pump, Hand Fluid Transfer Pump for Engine Oil, Transmission, Brake Fluid, and Gearbox Oil, Precision Fluid Dispensing in Tight Spaces : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive
