  1. I bought some brackets recently including that one. I can look up part no.s for you in a couple of days. I had very similar work done.
  2. I was given an oem part for my centre dash display but discovered it was the wrong colour! I've always thought of my UK car dash as being black, but this part is probably best described as Dark Grey.... Were there any differences of colour on UK cars (or elsewhere)? The usual parts lists dont seem to distinguish between different market model variants so they arent any help. I wondered if this might have come from an import...
  3. Those numbers do not appear to be Nissan part numbers, format: <5-chars>-<-5chars>. I suggest you go on Amayama.com and look at the parts diagrams and check part numbers. If you havent been there before it can be a bit of a long haul first time but when you get to the diagrams, if you hover over the diagram part identifier it will highlight the part number on the right-hand side and say whether they are still available. I have bought a number of obscure parts for my 350Z this year so quite a lot are available. Prices are better than here but you will also get charged shipping. Delivery seems to be around 2/3 weeks at present. Good luck.
  4. There is one more batch of new UK cars coming in May this year, around 20 I understand. These were ordered in the first half of 2021 and have finally been given a build schedule (I never thought they would, but Nissan say they are). Nissan UK have been refusing new orders since about the middle of 2021 and now Nissan Japan order book is closed too. Nissan UK dealers have been told not to expect any new cars after 1st July this year as they cannot comply with new vehicle regs including noise levels and things like max speed control. I bought a new one in May 2021 (ordered in Dec '20) and just before Christmas was offered 13% over the price I paid the dealer for it. I refused because I love it too much ... Whether the increased secondhand values will continue only time will tell!
  5. The below wing mirror bubbling is also seen on some R35 GT-Rs.
  6. The Amayama.com website is also great for identifying parts and their numbers.
  7. So why did Lewis get penalised for Silverstone?
  8. Someone close to me (with hindsight!) says that Mercedes missed a trick. As soon as the Safety Car went in, and with Perez out, they should have told Bottas to "Stop immediately, on-track, wherever you are". Yellow would come out, then safety car and race would be over. I bet they did think of it but decided it would get them the result but be a PR disaster. A much more honourable team than RB.
  9. A longer term view (havent watched the DC clip but Andrew Benson's analysis is worth a read): https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/59643988 I suggest that there has to be much more separation between the FIA officials (e.g. the Stewards) and the F1 officials (e.g. Race Director), with a clear separation of responsibility (e.g. Safety Car - Regulations vs Operation).
  10. My 350 is having some work done and we've come across a (flimsy) bracket behind the offside rear wheel arch. It appears to be there just to hold a plastic shield in place. Does anyone know what it is please? I've tried looking on Amayama but its quite difficult to find it as I dont know what it is called or what it is part of ...
  11. Thanks for the replies each. I have a pair of secondhand oem cats and looked at putting these on. However, when I looked at existing it is clear the only problem is the heat shields as the cats themselves easily pass the emission test. So, I'm going to remove the heatshields and run like that for a while, keeping the s/hand but almost new ones as backups. Incidentally, Amayama say new oem no longer available from Nissan.
  12. Thanks for all the comments. The problem I've found with headlights of this age is there is also often deterioration of the mirroring within the unit and I've yet to find anywhere that will undertake a full refurbishment including splitting open, re-mirroring, and re-sealing the unit.
  13. My 350 is getting on a bit now, 16 years and 115k miles (most of which were done in the first 6 years!). I try to look after it as much as possible whilst keeping it to it's OEM spec. It had a new engine at 47k miles and various bits of body have had tlc including getting the wheels back to their original translucent GT4 finish. Its had a new W brace, front upper and lower suspension arms, new disks and, of course, replacement exhaust. Its also had a full gearbox rebuild (and got treated to a new gear shift knob!). Most of these have been done from original or brand new parts accumulated over the 16 years. I'm about to swap the headlight units for ones you can see through(!), some more underbody light rust remedial work, and new alternator and a/c belts. I think the calipers will need doing next (overhaul and refinish), but is there anything else I should be keeping an eye out for? I read somewhere the timing chain may need replacing but as the engine has only done 70k not sure that is relevant!). All (well, nearly all) comments welcome! TIA
  14. How do you get passed the requirement to have red reflectors at the rear?
  15. Dreaded MOT has "advised" my Cats' Heat Shields are rusting away (although Cats must still be working as emissions still compliant). Anyone know if the Heat Shields can be replaced separately? TIA
  16. I'm in Exeter. There are two types of 350Z headlights depending on which model. Have you got a pic?
  17. I still own #62 (I was "WoREoD" of this parish). Coming up for 115k miles now...
  18. HI all. Has anyone found a place that can / will refurb the INSIDES of the 350Z Headlight units? Thanks... P.s. I've been able to find lots of people and kits just to do the outside, but the mirroring inside mine, they and my secondhand units could really do with some attention)
