  1. It's all happening after Martin's 'bump' the other day - great stuff.
  2. Awesome car, rare too. Sounds glorious on standard pipes as well.
  3. Went on a pre-Germany road trip yesterday up to Stafford to collect a car that a mate of mine had bought. Total round trip mileage of 357 from Surrey - surprised the Z didn't collapse in shock! A good fast run both ways on the M40 and M6 Toll in particular. A couple of photos, one at a services off the M6 Toll alongside the Lexus RCF after collection and the other back near home alongside a local farm.
  4. Welcome along. If you are buying a 2017 and later, apparently the CSC and the steering lock problem shouldn't be an issue to worry about. They were two things that nearly put me off buying my 2017 370Z Nismo, until I learnt that. One thing that does help preserve the CSC is regular fluid changes to keep the system clean. As for corrosion, the underside of mine looks fine. Future values, who can really tell? Most here probably own a Z because they enjoy ownership of a relatively rare and different car, not for an investment or to worry about what it might be worth at sale time. Mine was three years old when I bought it in early 2021 - 15k miles with one owner - and I think I picked it up for a decent price of £23k, from a dealer. Mine isn't a long term keeper, two or three years, but if I can see pretty close to £20k back for it, that's fine by me. If it's less, so be it. Good luck in your search.
  5. I bought mine from one of the traders here. Asad - 350Z & 370Z UK (350z-uk.com) He's not 'visited' since November last year, so maybe not about anymore?
  6. Welcome along. Per Martin's post above (Payco) get yourself along to the Ace Cafe meet on saturday 11th June if you can.
  7. Martin - That'll be 21st May or if that's too soon, possibly one on 28th May (sometimes there's a meet on the 4th Saturday) and after that it'll be 4th June.
  8. Welcome along. Hope you find what you're looking for.
  9. Possibly the GTR Heritage Centre in Peterlee, Co Durham, SR8 2LS. 01429 838885 If not, I'm sure they'd be able to recommend somewhere up your way.
  10. I have a query that puzzled and slightly annoyed me at the time - it's not related to CKI, but another well known "specialist".... Last November I had my 370Z mildly modified with an ECUtek re-map, Cobra HFCs, HKS filters and a set of 15mm spacers all round. Prior to this I rang up a well known specialist to get an idea what sort of insurance premium this might attract as I didn't think that my 'regular' insurer (LV) would be open to modifed cars. I listed the proposed mods and to my amazement I was told that the car would have to be modified FIRST and then they would quote! I did manage to get an informed guesstimate from them - I think it was around £450, which I thought was okay considering that my LV fully comp policy for the standard car was £290. However, I wasn't prepared to get the car modified and then get quotes - the car obviously needed to be insured for the mods when I drove away from Abbey. I went back to LV out of curiousity and they did accept the mods, all for the additional premium of around £30 over the £290 previously paid! Well over £100 cheaper than a specialist. So, in amongst all the waffle above my query is, is it normal practice for an insurance company to ask that a car is modified first in able to provide an insurance quote for it? Thanks, LM
  11. Non-start, over and above the car's standard security features. Disables the injectors unless that particular mode is cancelled by the driver by switching maps.
  12. My Z received the ECUtek treatment at Abbey last year. I feel that the car's certainly benefited from it, particularly (as you note) eliminating flat spots and making the power delivery more linear. It's odd because it doesn't "feel" quicker as such, but I think it's decpetive as the needle certainly goes up through the numbers quicker - it feels more effortless to achieve the relative speed than it did before the re-map. At the same time I had Cobra HFCs and HKS filters installed. On the dyno, there was something like a 29 BHP gain as a by product, not that that's important. As for the TC (I appreciate that this is an old post of yours) but did you figure out how to adjust it? If not, just let me know. Mine also has an additional security feature which you may, or may not, have or know about.

  14. Thanks Andy, I'll give it some thought by the evening to see if I can get it to work. Will message you here if it does. Are you meeting elsewhere first and arriving en-masse?
  15. Can you give me an idea on timings for this Andy to see if I can make it work please? An early start isn't a problem, but I have other commitments early afternoon What would be useful to know is if once there and displaying, are the cars 'locked-in" so to speak and can't leave until a certain time in the afternoon? Cheers
  16. Welcome along - let's see this 'project'..!
  17. Excellent attendance this morning, never seen it so busy. Three Zeds, mine plus two 240Zs.
  18. I did consider that mod last year as that wiper is a big old thing and certainly looks better without it. However, it's just too useful in our climate I think.
  19. @ShortPaul @Olly350z @Willsy1980 What was I talking about?! There is no rear washer reservoir (having checked the handbook yesterday eve)...!! Sorry guys, I wasn't pushing the wiper stalk forward to get the rear squirter working, just turning the end of the stalk like how it operates on my other cars! Double DOH! I'll get me coat.... 😬
  20. That's a very broad question. It Might be easier to give the forum a clue as to what you're able to do first. Welcome along.
